The moment, the best, most courageous moment that caught your eye in today's game against Hawthorn. Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage.

The moment was Wood trying to scramble a kick around the corner instead of just going over the line. We had all the momentum at that point but that baffling decision from a senior leader killed us.

JJ running into goal, had Cody by himself 20m out straight in front. Decided to take the shot under pressure and missed by a country mile. That selfishness to not give it to a teammate in a certain goal scoring position is not what great teams are made of.

Yep that's my moment. When players are of a mindset that THEY need to get a goal, even when there is a better option completely free, that's someone who is thinking about self-preservation, and not the team. It's counter intuitive as well, in that his missing that goal now sits as a mark against him, whereas doing the team thing, would've been a big tick for him.

If we play him next and in finals then the MC own it.

The moment (S) were the misses of Young and Vandermeer in the first 3-4 mins.

You know the saying. Bad kicking is good football.

When Baz had his weekly brain explosion in the opposition goal square.

NFL career holding the ball for the punter awaits.

The 5 mins after we scored 3 in a row in the 3rd.

Whatever infected the team in that time and led to them kicking 3 into the wind (we went on to kick 0 the following q) was the game.

The Smith cluster *!*!*!*! in the goal square was probably it, but the Lew Young and JJ misses when both could have given off to someone who could really nail it set the scene.

But the big one was the Caleb Daniel kick from the centre to camera side that was weak and intercepted. It wasn't happening for us.

Fourteen points down at 3/4 time with lots to play for. The last quarter was one long drawn out moment. Grrrrŕ!

One of the many non-called ‘holding the ball’ calls in the lead up to goals was directly before this and, not that we deserve any excuses, they would have helped a lot.

I think the moment was when the team sheets dropped. I immediately dusted off the sports betting account and threw $20 on the Hawks.

Another 5 changes to an unsettled team that didn’t play well (to go with the 6 or so last week) is madness. Adding to that the blokes who are coming in have had super limited playing minutes in the last month.

I’m not sure what triggered it, but when we kicked the first 3 to start the second half, I thought we had finally woken up. To then capitulate after that adds an extra layer to how concerning yesterday’s loss was. I’m still struggling to find an answer. There was no moment. It just happened.

And we were kicking to what should have been the scoring end. As quick as we switched on we somehow hit the pause button and the Hawks responded.
