I managed 7/8, missing only Essendon.
Very impressed with the first-up effort.
How have you gone first week back?

Same here BB.
I was going to go with the Tigers, but thought id play it safe knowing the majority would go with the Blues.
Round 1 is the easiest tipping round IMO. All you have to do is go the favorites because thats what everyone else does.

First time ever I haven't gone in a footy tips & it was wonderful, only had to worry about 70 players in 3 dream teams!!
I did pick one winner from one tip tho, no prizes for guessing who!

Just curious, why no tips this year?

Couldn't be bothered, basically.
Not sure about you, but it doesnt take me much effort to write down 8 teams per week...

Yes, I know what you mean - my reasons were similar.

My dad got 8 too.
I only ended up with 4 winners, pretty disappointing. I felt 'sure' that Fremantle would knock over The Pies, and I thought The Kangaroos would account for The Dons.
It could of been worse. I was 0/3 at one stage

Mine too.
I actually tried to logon to the website after I finished work to change to Richmond, but I ran out of time. Stupid computer wouldn't load anything up so I thought 'stuff it', Fevola should carry The Blues over.

6 for me. I never tip Richmond and I also tipped Port (shouldn't have listened to Johnno on the Footy Show last Thursday night).

Missed Richmond and Essendon. I was listening to the North/Essendon game on the way back from Mildura. I switched it off about half way through the 2nd. I was very surprised of the result in the end. North must have stayed in the rooms at half time.

Hows everyones tipping looking for round 2?
Lions should beat the pies at home
Us to maul the Dees
Crows to bounce back against the Eagles
Saints to beat the Blues
Freo over the Hawks at Subi
Swans to beat Port in Sydney
Cats over the Dons
Tigers over the Kangas in a thriller
Few dicey ones this week.
And it will surely separate the pro's from the flogs.

I got 7 as well, I thought I was going to get 8 for the first time ever but as usual Essendon had to ruin it for me.
