Western Bulldogs midfielder Lachie Hunter will take an indefinite leave of absence from the Club while he deals with personal issues.

The Club will support Lachie as he works through some individual challenges, which have affected his health and wellbeing.

“Lachie has been dealing with some personal issues for a period of time. After some recent internal discussions, it has been determined and agreed with Lachie that the best course of action is for him to spend some time away from the Club while he addresses his personal issues,” said Western Bulldogs Head of Football, Chris Grant.

“We will continue to support Lachie during his leave of absence, with his personal wellbeing the sole focus for everyone in the immediate term.

“During this period of absence from the football program Lachie will not play at either AFL or VFL level.

“We expect that Lachie’s privacy will be respected during this period.”

Hope he can get back on track soon, but it's not easy the stuff he is dealing with.

At this point show whoever is leaking this stuff the door, it's a matter of not even respecting your teammates.

Someone's leaking it?

My knowledge is from his prior issues (car incident) where it was reported he had some personal family issues that could easily throw you off course.
I'm sure it's out there I won't add to the mix here.

Yep, I wish him well. When you need to take leave from doing something that you love like footy it puts things into perspective. He will be well supported.

Bingo!

Just read “The Boys Club” too and the whole system rots from the AFL Execs through to most of the journos, who do their bidding!

From Bevo Press Conference today:

Winger Hunter has been away on personal leave since April 19.

"Lachie's going OK," Beveridge said.

"He's putting some things in place away from the club and we anticipate probably in a month's time that he'll probably re-enter the club and get going again and we'll see how he's going.

"That's probably the timeline."
