The moment, the best, most courageous moment that caught your eye in today's round 6 match against Adelaide. Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage

The moment for me was before the match when Tim English did his hammy. The difference between us winning or losing.

2nd Quarter, McNeil kicked 25 m on an angle , misses everything. No one bothered to contest the mark, and the crows swoop on the ball and kick it out. We have poor defensive fwd pressure.

It was going to be one of those days.

Then see a couple of times Treloar not chasing his opponent, who becomes the link up player to kick the ball out of defense. Not working hard enough today

Definitely the Caleb mare of a kick in the last.

Definitely the Caleb mare of a kick in the last.

That finished us off

Another moment was in the last. About 70m out from goal the ball lands close to Duryea. He's slow to take possession and is forced on to his right foot. A loopy little right foot kick and the Crows take it away. It seemed like a real op to spot someone up inside 50 went begging.

The moment we decided to kick it to congestion on the wing with Adelaide's Reilly O'Brien lurking. It was a goldfish in a bowl moment. Each time we did it, it was like we forgot what happened last time. So It's a moment. But it's a perpetually repeating 'moment'.

That pass from Bontempelli to Naughton for his first goal was a thing of beauty.
It also underlined to me that Bont spending a lot of time forward rather than in the midfield is problematic for us.

Is the Bont playing injured?

As hes a shadow of himself this season.

Yes, ankle and shoulder.

Yes, ankle and shoulder.

When he got that ankle injury against Melbourne, the game turned. He is so important to us.

We have to assume that if he is playing he is fit enough.
I think he is being played out of position for too long in games which means his best results aren't as good as in previous years.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that his pass to Naughton was a ripper and I think it's why he needs to spend more time in the middle.
He's a good forward but a great midfielder. Our lack of KP options I think is the reason why he is playing more forward.

It is a good point. However, who is preparing for someone not to make the distance from 25m out? It wasn't that tight of an angle that there was a good chance it would go across the face. What a poor kick from McNeil. Every week I watch under 16s kick for goal better than our team.

It's plainly obvious that he is spending so much time forward because he is banged up and unable to get thru a game as a mostly full time mid. With the level of injuries we currently have he is doing what he can to get thru. Oh to have the blessed run of Brisbane or Melbourne AGAIN.

The Daniel kick was the moment, we were likely to steal an undeserving win but that just killed the game. He like a fair few others(and the club) has had a underwhelming season.

If Bont is injured I’d honestly prefer he has a few weeks off and gets fit than play through at half mast.

Might be more like a few months if he needs ankle and shoulder surgery

2 moments for me stood out and both from kick outs late in the game.

First Bailey Dale plays on and goes long down the middle to a 1 v 3 and then Daniel inexplicably turns it over.

Makes me wonder if we actually have a plan in how to score in these situations as it looked to me that our players weren’t singing to the same tune.

The Daniel one was horrible, but if we’re talking about the same kick Dale had Bont out the back and just mishit it. It was definitely the right option and I was stoked he took it, if for nothing else than to try and disrupt the malaise of the rest of our game play.

On the Daniel one - who else completely knew that was coming as soon as they saw who was kicking in?

The kick to Bont?? was the correct decision, but why were the next 2 players on the scene both Adel players after the marking contest? Maybe they outworked their opponents (which is likely), but I’d like to think our players would be rushing to that area as soon as the ball is in motion.

I’d need to rewatch it but live I thought Bont had a ton of space to work back into and the kick from Dale was too shallow, which is really against type for him and I’d be happy for him to take that on every time.

I was rapt he took the kick on too… and that’s not the reason why I was upset. What shitted me was that it quickly turned into a 1 v3 when I would hope we would’ve practiced this type of scenario and our players would’ve been working to that spot to support, but we were no where to be seen.

Gotcha. In that sense it was kind of exemplary of how we were generally outworked all day.
