How good is Nick Daicos?
The Pies and the Dogs might have hit the jackpot last draft.

Rory Laird broke the tackles record with 20.
From memory it was 19 for ages, maybe even young Tom was one of the former record holders.

Tom (2016) held it with Jude Bolton (2011) and Jack Ziebell (2016). There was a thread on it posted by Boots:

Do you think Hayes still had some upside or was he as good as it gets with his time with us?
We let him go once and then added him back in didn't we?
He was a depth player for us.

I think he’s a really limited player and I was annoyed we ever considered him in the first place. I’m more being tongue in cheek about the general response to reading defensive general Lewis Young.

The difference is that Young is still capable of playing better football whereas Hayes was as you say limited.
We may not like it but Young is performing OK at Carlton.

Some times you get burned and on occasions you strike it rich. Cats do it pretty well and they often draft players from outside of the elite pathway.

I called it earlier in the year, Carlton's form is going to result in one of the biggest gaslighting of fans ever seen.
They may only win one more game for the season.
I didn't see tonight's game however, only scoring 55 points against the best in the comp right now is a very bad sign.

Preseason: Dodoro is a genius.
Midseason: When do we start looking at replacing Dodoro?
Late season: Dodoro? Get me Anton Chigurh's number.

Yep, very lucky. On a different time line they lose all of them and are bottom 4 material. Will be mince meat in the finals.

Yep, well done to them considering where they looked like they were heading post Buckley but these are the types of swings where they overachieve one year and finish bottom 5 the next when results don't go their way.
They do have some good young kids though.

Nick Daicos will probably be AA next year. Ridiculous he wasn’t bid on at 1 last year, clearly the best player in the pool and Collingwood were never not matching a bid.

Found it very strange he was allowed to slide like that. Especially when Darcy was injured. Guess he is a tall though and you don't want to be the recruiter who passed Franklin for Tambling.
