200 games
Midfield bull Tom Liberatore (195 games) will become the first Bulldog of season 2023 to reach 200 matches if he plays the first five rounds. Skipper Marcus Bontempelli (193) is also set to add another accolade to his achievements, in line to reach his double-century in round seven.

150 games
Off-season recruit Rory Lobb (140) is set to notch up game 150 against Adelaide at Mars Stadium, following 74 games for GWS and 66 games for Fremantle. High-flying defender Hayden Crozier (138) would be celebrated against reigning premiers Geelong in round 12, if he plays every match to that point.

100 games
Five Bulldogs are set to raise the bat this season, including fan favourites Toby McLean (96), Tim English (85) and Bailey Smith (84). Defensive duo Ed Richards (85) and Alex Keath (86) are also in line to breakthrough for triple-figure games.

50 games
Utility Roarke Smith (47) is just three games away from reaching his long-awaited 50th match – a feat worth celebrating after his earlier seasons were marred by injuries. Key defender Ryan Gardner (43) and Cody Weightman (40) would be next, followed by Anthony Scott (35), Laith Vandermeer (33) and Lachie McNeil (29) after the mid-season bye.

It feels like it has gone quick. Just a great player Bont. Be great if he recaptures his 2021 form. It has been a privilege to have watched his career progress.

2nd oldest? Wow. That’s a bit of a surprise but I guess we brought in some old fellas over the off season and the core group is getting older.

Big season ahead.

The drafting of the Buss Driver makes so much sense in this context. Jones and Keath.

Lets get those father sons locked away.

Liam Jones needs 34 games over the next 3 years, fortunately for us he only played 95 at Carlton.

Keath still needs another 44 which seems unlikely given his recent injury history.

Has been so durable though we really have got our money worth. Only just turned 27 so in his absolute prime.

Bont past his prime works still be a 40 goal a year forward. Not sure his hips will let him play midfield post 30
