Deep deep in the recesses of a long forgotten about wardrobe...
The mother lode!
My 80s badge collection which once proudly adorned my Bulldogs scarf.
Mum would buy me one after every win; an indication of their rarity.
Test time woofers.
Name these players, and their numbers and G to the ary, Ray's outdoors himself will present the winner with an outstanding piece of woof memorabilia.
Actually, I'll put up a Les Bamblett badge to the winner.
And.... GO.

Chris Hansen was #17 but apart from that your numbers are spot on. Except Geoff Jennings changed jumpers with Terry Wheeler at halftime one day and word #35 for a half

I had the Ted Whitten and Geoff Jennings on my duffle coat. Can't believe there is no Dougie one, can only presume you have it in a glass cabinet on display where he belongs :D

I still have my original scarf from circa 1984/ 1985 with the VFL logo on it (and that's still the only one I'll ever wear to a game), but the badges that I had from that time seem to be casualties....albeit I didn't get many players - more so club emblems.

He did. Apparently Fitzroy wanted $70 000 for him and we wavered so the Lions threw in a steak knives player called Peter Foster to get the deal over the line!

He was a fairly good set of steak knives. Fossie was a gun. Other than those couple of years Chris Grant played there Peter Foster was the best centre half back we've had.
He was good enough to play with Victoria as a CHF and a CHB I think Laurie Nash was the only other player to do that and from what I've read Madh was a pretty good. I read a story about Nash having a day out and kicking goals for fun.. He took a mark and said to the man on the mark "I can't decide whether to kick this with my left or right. Whadda you reckon?" and the bloke on the mark said "why don't you bounce it off your big ****ing head?"

That was against Essendon the swapped jumpers for memory, was that Beasley's first game and barely got a touch after all the hype coming over from Swan Districts at Windy Hill? and we got absolutely belted, i remember standing behind the goals.

I think that you're right. Beasley kicked 82 in his first season after only having 25 or so halfway through.

Didn?t they do that a few years ago?
I agree, Paddington Bear a great advertisement on how good they can look. Ones that are doggies blue with white and red around buttons would be lovely.

Some great players there, reckon i may have had a few of the W.A boys badges at the time too (Beasley, Purser, Shorty Daniels etc along with Ian "Racoon" Williams who was one of my faves at the time and kicked a goal after the siren at Moorabbin to win the game, think i could still hear Rex Hunt out on the ground singing Yibbida Yibbida......
Along with those the cloth sew on player names and cloth badges, oh and the big 31 on the back of the duffel coat for some full forward who went ok (not Shane Loveless :D)

I'm a season or so out from this in my quest to go through the whole show run.......again.
Currently in the first half of s5, right in the sweet spot before Larry David departs at the end of s7.
