It's just occurred to me. Season 2024 will be our 100th season in the V/AFL. 1925 was our first season so this is season number 100.

I wonder if the club is planning on marking the milestone in some way?

They will pump it start of next year I would think . Hopefully 100 year emblem jumpers and one game wearing the original jumpers, not sure that’s possible as I think we had blue and white hoops .

People with actual talent like RS are going to hate AI image creation. Although, roll with it or it rolls over you.

Love the actual lay out but those faces look more like Hannibal Lecter and would give kids nightmares.

I am thinking 20 players two from each decade with the jumper they wore in that era and the bulldog has two dog tags in gold with the premiership years on it .

You've gone mad with the power. I love it.

If you look closely though the player's faces are Event Horizon level nightmare fuel.

Perhaps a post season game against Essendon could be arranged the week after the GF for the Championship of Victoria, proceeds go to the RSL. Who knows, it might even be a rematch of the previous week.

Problem is we will still be celebrating our 3rd flag.

I wonder if the club could do a memorabilia set up of some sort, I have stuff going back to the 60s.
Even if it’s just a send in your photos opportunity.
I even have a 2016 grand final ticket that has 2015 in small print on it.

Smads and I were talking to a regular track watcher yesterday and we suggested that she contact the club to see if some of her old collectables might be of interest to them. She has Bulldog badges and records etc going back years and her family aren't that interested in them.

I'm sure the forwards will improve this year, I don't think we'll be that bad.

Crickey, L, are you a time traveller ? If you have memorabilia going back to the '60s, you need a Funeral Director, Priest/Parson/Imam/Rabbi and a Probate Lawyer. Have your proposed executor(s)/Executrix(ces) contact us at

for sensitive, non-intrusive, gender-neutral, legislation-compliant, care and concern

That would be unacceptable as it would mean Essington had won at least 2 finals and that is definitely 2 too many for them.

Can you believe it ? a few years after the 1924 Championship game, Essendon complained about our lads bribing Essendon players to take a dive. That said, for the 3rd Flag, I'd cop even that.

It was an error made when printing the tickets . I’m not sure how many are around, probably was the first batch.
Well I feel like a time traveller , I am 60 and you wouldn’t believe the progress (not all good sadly ). IMO the best years were the 70s and 80s

60 ? So born in 1963-'64, you missed the '60s, the transition decade from the old British, White-Australia Aus to Gough's 1972 explosion. Yes, the 70s - 80s were exceptional.

Wearing my Hibs shirt, ran into a bloke in Bourke Street, Rangers supporter from Aberdeen. Family tradition.
