I’ve always highly valued Kane’s incredibly well informed thoughtful opinions.

I think Bont, Moore and Greene are the clear top 3. On the other hand until I clicked on the link I thought Darren Glass was still West Coast’s captain so that doesn’t speak volumes for Oscar Allen.

I'm surprised that Mills isn't a bit lower down the order

I heard him interviewed and he's actually an impressive type.

I’m sure he is. Just don’t hear a lot about WCE and it was unexpected. Ranking the captains before the season is a ridiculous thing to do.

Can't see why there is a need to rank captains

Generates discussion.
I'd think Sicily is a good captain. I'd have more first he's changed the culture there or been an big part of it.
Dawson after a year is way too high.
I'd have
Moore
Bont
Sicily.

I don't rate Cripps particularly highly as a player or a captain.

Moore has to be higher. Flawless last year.

We are so lucky to Have The Bont at the club. Must enjoy watching him in these years as they go quickly

Bont clearly the man. Don’t mind the list, Toby Greene I’ll never get around but gee, he’s done well to get so many admirers.
Oscar Allen rated so poorly in excellent banter for me to share with a few Perth based mates.

Sign of the times. He’s a poster boy for contrarian culture wars types. Media has worked tirelessly to recast and rehab his image.
And folk who are happy to ignore character and just frame things around footy and on field performance, which I can understand.

He has a lot of old school influential footy types in the media in his corner; that's had a big say I think.

Not sure why he didn't include the co-captains in the list if he's going to rank all of the captains. Z Merrett seems high, maybe I'm biased but I don't rate him, certainly not above Steele as both a footballer and captain, Steele has at least proved himself in that position.
