So with the jingle drums rumbling and don?t get me wrong I am not advocating Beveridge goes or stays in this question.
There comes a time a coaches time is up, if it happens in the next year who is actually around that we would look at ?
I have no idea on assistants that would be looked as they live in the shadows and it?s hard to get a grip on them.
Personally I would jump on Buckley, his maturity and experience would be a great get.
Like Voss a second go can work.
Buckley admitted his errors and problems as he coached the pies and tried to rectify them on the run.
To me he would be someone we should investigate.
Would Cameron be worth a look ?
Who else is around ?

Malthouse. End his coaching career where it started.

It’s a bit premature but the first question will be do we want someone new or with afl coaching experience.

We have a history of taking on new coaches more than experienced coaches over the years, but I get the feeling we need an experienced coach with this group.

What's mjp up to next season?

Ash Hansen please

Yeah, you'd have to think they'd give him a long, hard look.

He basically learned his trade here, was on deck for the flag while taking the Scray to one themselves and is a contributor to a resurgent Blues outfit.

Also feels like it's time in terms of his career arc.

I could only agree with your proposed top l3 if you remove Buckley and Cameron.
Coaches need renewing as the established ones or prior have a very poor record.
Last recycled coach to win a flag was Malthouse

Any one of the Geelong assistants over the last few years. Chris Scott is a smug prick, but he is one hell of a coach - get me some of that intel please. Also the likes of Monty, Skipworth, Hansen, Enright have all had excellent grounding to eventually take over a team in their own right.

Not interested in 2nd chancers. Every premiership this century except Collingwood 2010 has been won by a 1st time coach.

Agree. Keen for a hungry, 1st time coach.

Run a thorough process. There appears on the surface to be some amazing assistant coaches out there.

Anyone open to Gia?

I wouldn't be against but I doubt it. I think he's done some additional study to prepare for a senior to role and visited some ice hockey clubs with a focus on tactics

I prefer to wait till the end of year and then assess.
