I believe he was Luke?s father and passed away at 85.
A long relationship with the saints as a recruiter of great respect.
My condolences to Luke his family and all the Beveridge family.

Loved John.

Spent some time with us when I was doing the AFL Academy thing at the AIS.

Condolences to the family. Really sad news.

Reportedly John had suffered a long illness with Parkinson's. Thoughts are with Luke and his family.

Can we have a fight parkinsons game now or has the official disease of the afl already been chosen.

Sorry I know that's harsh.

My mum suffers parkinsons and has done for years it's a horrible thing.

Firstly, condolences to the Beveridge family.

Off the thread topic, but if you haven't seen the video of Michael J. Fox joining Coldplay on stage from Glastonbury this year, should check it out. He is clearly struggling with it, so to see him jump on stage and play guitar is pretty amazing.

Ps He joined them about 10 years ago on stage for a cover of Johnny B. Goode too.

Yep! Michael J Fox using his ailment to good effect on Curb is an all-time classic! Only Larry could see this and would not put up with it!

If you go back even further, he played a doctor on Scrubs and (again) that role was very good.

Harrison Ford plays a character with Parkinsons in Shrinking (which is very good if anyone hasn't seen it). I don't think HF has been said to have Parkinsons, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is some kicking away in the background.

Not in the spirit of the thread, but that show while I still watch it for some reason is completely ridiculous and every one of the characters can go and **** themselves. :)

Some of the things that have happened with Parkinson's and medication over the last twenty years have been horrendous. My late father's group prior to him passing lost a good friend to the disease, he was caught up with that and it was a dreadful addition to the already drastically life changing things the disease brings.

Thought's with the Beveridge family.

Thankyou, Ledge. A mate of mine died with Parkos earlier this year, invited to try out for St Kilda. Another close mate has it, emeritus Professor, my brother in law, former scientist attached to the Army. It's terrible to see what it does.
