Is Jason Akermanis playing as good as or better football now than his 2005 season?

Aker's best season, his Brownlow year notwistanding, at Brisbane was 2005.

Simple question, is his form in 2008 better than his form in 2005?

Put me down for a big yes.

Hard to know honestly as I never watched Brisbane week in week out during 2005. He is certainly one of our best contributors at this stage, and his stats seem to stack up with any other year he's had, so I don't see why you couldn't be spot on. Amazing player.

I always watched him with great admiration when he played with Brisbane. He's definitely in career best form in my opinion. I'm not getting too carried away but I think he will challenge Cooney for the Brownlow. It must have been hard for those Brisbane fans on the weekend to sit there and watch him.

He previously played more in the midfield whereas for us he is playing more as a half forward flanker, so its hard to compare. Stats wise he is clocking up almost the same with total disposals averaging about 2 less this year compared to his brownlow year.

without a doubt i can't remember him wasting a possession this year and he is making it extremely difficult for opposition teams to matchup on him.

Agreed

Better than 05? Yes
