Minson, Gilbee & Cooney unlucky - don't expect Cooney to trouble Demetriou on Brownlow night on the back of that....maybe 1 vote.

I (obviously) only get to watch on TV but am curious at all the love for Gilbee - to me, for large parts of it he zoned off and was beaten badly by Wellingham...I actually thought Collingwood made a mistake by not isolating that match-up.

From my perspective it was because he gave us run and quality finish when not many others were. I accept your point about him not paying his opponents enough respect but 29 possessions and a goal is a pretty handy return. His defensive game is something he still has to work on. I still don't think he was as important as Cooney, Cross or Boyd in the end but he is in better for than a month ago.
And now I'll proceed to not give him a vote:
4. Cross (never stops and does what needs to be done)
3. Cooney
2. Morris
1. Ray (wanted to reward him for working his butt off running the lines and using the ball pretty well)
Boyd unlucky and almost gave Minson one for influencing the game when we needed someone too.
2. Ray
1. Addison (again not big on the stats sheet but his defensive game was fantastic)
Griffen could have been here as he had plenty of it early but I thought his ball use today was unusually poor.

4. Hargrave - Career best form, did very well on in-form Medhurst.
3. Morris - Fantastic all day, smothered Didak, took some good marks.
2. Cooney - His explosive pace saved us a number of times.
1. Hahn - Bullocking work first rate, kicked & created multiple goals.
2. Everitt - Terrific spoiling & also provided good run & carry with good foot skills.
1. Addison - Tough in the contest, won a number of the crucial ones.

4. Cooney - just thought he was crucial at important times, got to a lot of contests and provided a good chop out.
3. Gilbee - one of his better games for a while
2. Hahn - provided something in our forward line where the delivery was very, very ordinary.
1. Morris - played well and journeyed around a bit more than usual.
2. Griffen - good game, great runs early, and how about his goal?!
1. Addison - thought he was terrific, threw himself into everything he could and although not huge output, went 110% every time he had to.

4. Morris - The standout. Absolutely won us the game with his spoils and cool head with the footy.
3. Cross - So courageous, his marking above his head and ability to get to so many contests was awesome.
2. Cooney - Showed his class and got us going when we went flat.
1. Gilbee - His use of the footy was so important.
Honorable mention to Gia - who I thought was important and poised when some others looked out of sorts early.
RJ:
2. Everitt - Streaming out of defence - is getting better and better.
1. Ray - really liked his game, think he could do with less handballing at times and be a little more selfish.

Interesting observation. To me it also looked like he was on Lockyer for a while, and got beaten a few times in contests.
I'd be interested to see how he went with a run through the middle at some stage over the next few weeks.

With all the rising costs (i.e. fuel, food, interest rates etc) not all of us can afford Foxtel :(

What does that really mean?
Could be a chip across the ground that was run up to the 50.

No. It means he either kicked the goal or set up the bloke who did, but it doesn't mean he was necessarily the second last link in the chain.

Ok. Could have been that he was a part of the chain of possessions leading to a goal.
But getting a goal and 4 goal assists in a quarter is impressive (doesn't sound right though)
