Listened to the game on SEN so might be a bit tough but my first impressions are

4-Cross (34 possessions 5 tackles and a heap of clearances)
3-Griffen (those two running goals were all class)
2-Akermanis (superb display from a small forward)
1-Johnno (kicked important goals in the second quarter to set up the win)

Cooney very unlucky to miss out on the votes

4. Cross- accumulated possies in the trenches all night, and as others fatigued in the weather he got stronger
3. Morris- totally shut down Motlop to the point that Motlop lost the plot
2. Griffen- fantastic running and finishing
1. Aker- only for his exceptional finishing- 3 of his 4 were absolute pearlers.

James.

2. Griffen
1. Ray- strong running, and some polish tonight with his finishing.

4- Griffen (awesome when the game was there to be won)
3- Johnno
2- Aker
1- Morris (superb job on Motlop)

Apologies to Shaggy. I thought Cross had a very good game but I placed a lot more value in what happened during the 1st half. The 2nd half was vintage garbage time footy.

4. Morris - Destroyed their only player who could trouble us
3. Cross - Tireless, courageous.
2. Griffen - Great game.
1. Johnno - Getting fitter and fitter.

Apols to Aker, Hargrave, Minson and Lake.

2. Griffen
1. Ray - Really starting to hit his straps, looks stronger than last year.

Interesting choice. I was very disappointed with his first quarter - thought he made some terrible decisions but he was fantastic in the 2nd and 3rd quarter through the middle and setting up many goals.

4. Cross
3. Griffen
2. Aker
1. Gia.

Cooneys man got 40 possessions. I can't have him in the top 4.

Tough game to give votes in, very even performance.

If you look at the SC scores we had 19 player's in the 72-123 pts range.

1. Everitt - thought his ball use and setting up play was fantastic. Interesting he left Westhoff when a stoppage arose - or so it looked like to me - to drift off and help set up play.

Apologies to Cross. Boyd both raking up the posessions and doing the hard things, and Dale Morris, what a player

To me, our defenders were our best players...Port actually had us in terms of inside 50's in the first half, yet we were comfortably up. Shaggy, Morris - even Lake and Everitt - did a very good job of winning the ball in a contested situation and getting it to advantage.

4. Morris - my heart was in my mouth when he went off with a suspected knee.
3. Griffin - that goal from 55 out on a fast run - sensational!
2. Cross - got some hard bumps but just comes back up and at 'em
1. Aker - My son commented that he wished Aker would kick the same freaky goals that won premierships for Brisbane - his wish has been answered:)

Best Pups

1. Griffin - by a country mile;)
2. Ray - showing some good run - starting to get back to good form.

3-Morris-destroyed Motlop, Ports danger man and the one guy I was wriied about taking the game apart
2-Griffen-got a lot of the ball in dangerous positions on the ground
1-Aker-What could I possibly add? The guys a genius!

2-Ray
1-Griff

I probably should know the crieria for who's a pup and who's not but if Ray isnt then move Griff up one and add Josh hill.

Welcome aboard, Ray played his best game for the year last night, and looks to be building steadily since returning from injury. Very pleasing.

Met a great group of young bulldog guys and girls at a pub in Melbourne last night all keen doggies, great to see the next generation of 'beleivers' coming through the ranks.
They encouraged me to get on line and have my say.

They described me as a veteran, thanks guys, theres still a flag or two left in this old dog yet. Gotta say this is the most confident I have been since '85, when sheedy openly admitted 'he didn't want to play Footscray in the Grand Final'

4. Griffen - just because he was so damaging with the footy and his two running goals really broke open the game.
3. Cross - So many contested possies. Great game.
2. Morris - Awesome again - gave Motlop a bath. (When it looked like he'd done his knee - I felt like our premiership hopes were lost - he's just that important).
1. Gia - so poised with the footy. Was really important when the game was there to be won.

Shaggy, Johnno and Lake all stiff to miss out, coons and addison also.

2. Griff
1. Addison.
