Here are a few photo's from the train with the team day on Wednesday.

Very cold day, at one stage thought the kids may not get out on the oval due to the rain.

About 220 kids turned up

Interested in what you thought of Cooney. Did something for a few schools and didn't seem too interested

It is hard to say. As parents we were not allowed onto the oval we had to stay behind the fence.

l don't think l heard him say to much compared to some other playes with the kids but l couldn't give a honest answer on this one.

Hey, looks like a fair turnout, theres a lot of future adult members on the up i think and this year would really have grabbed those young ones who start to pick a team and follow them for the rest of theyre lives.
Thanks Bollocks and TCD, great pics and always love to see the doggies around old stamping grounds.
Good to see Coon Pup back in action and no lasting effects i hope on the arm.
Will he nominate in the draft as Coon Pup, just so woof members know who he is?
Can we try a father/son rule for 40 year supporters but werent fortunate to play for the mighty scraggers?
How about if you have been a member for over 20 years your son gets to play at that team as first choice, maybe the AFL should reward long term members, another way of encouraging members and you supporting the AFL for a long time.
Just a thought from left field.

Then all WA players would go to WCE and Freo (same in Adelaide, Sydney and Brissy) and Collingwood, Essendon ect would have more chance of gems (Cal Ward eg)

When do members over the age of 35 get to train with the team?

My young bloke first took notice of the footy during the Rhode Era,LLLLWLLWLL and flirted with that Red and Black mob that his mum follows.

Over the last three years I have turned around that horrible situation. He comes most weeks and, now wears some doggies gear several days a week. THe current form has really helped with all of that for sure.

They wouldnt want me there, I broke the collar bone of two teammates in tackling drills at training two years in a row.

These days I'd only need a good five minutes at it to ping another hammy.

Can i ask what the green stripes on the face are for?
I usually picture them as face painting with club colours or for sunscreen but they cant be either of them.
Just one of those little things that annoy you when you dont know what they mean.

They had commando kids for the first half.

Green face paint and cammo head bands to get the kids in the mood.

Lots of games with trainers dressed in army clothes.

They all seemed to enjoy it.

Yep, might just have to polish up the old Puma Superboots, or if it calls for moulded's, the Adidas Valencia's.
