Bloody Matt Thompson from SEN, he is now saying it is only bruising.

Not that bad but 3-4 easy. Lifted his elbow and got him late.
Ablett also rolled his ankle and hasn't been back on, which means my DT and supercoach are screwed this week. He's captain of both

Same:o. If he doesn't play next week I don't care though:).

I heard Ottens, Ling and Ablett injured, no idea how bad, just a week will do though.

About time something stopped him.

Sick of him earning 300-400 points for the other team each week.

Burton and Porplezia injured too, seems to be an influx of injuries this week.

That's karma for me being glad Ablett didn't play much (both in my DT):(

SEN are saying that both Ling and Ablett will miss next week. They havent mentioned Rooke or Ottens being injured.

Steve Johnson could be in some trouble as well for a swinging arm.

They will be struggling to get a team the way this is going.

The swinging arm should come under scrutiny. He hit the guy in the face at the end.

Solomon will be gone for at least 5 weeks. IMO worse than the Hall incident although I am sure I will be on my lonesome on that one.

Lined up the guy, jumped and then elbowed him square in the jaw.

I would put it on a par with Halls incident. Should get 5 or 6 at least.

i heard neil balm on 3aw, and he said that ling was off to get cat scans on his cheek bone - but uts not depressed - it may be fractured though

as for ablett, he said he was very sore, and was getting x rays, but wasnt too sure

other than that, there were no more injuries down at the cattery !

cheers

I feel the old injury excuse coming..

If we beat them without Ling & Ablett = Geelong fans and Media will be like "Well take out the #1 player in the comp and one of the best taggers out your gunna struggle"
If we dont beat em: "Where to for the bulldogs now..if you cant beat Geelong without those 2 out you cant beat em at all"

We haven't played yet, so let's not get too excited by any injuries Geelong may have sustained.

Usually agree with you Coon Dog but I don't think anyone is getting excited. Just reporting the facts.

Lingy out- Good for Cooney, would have done the job (or tried to) on him. Now they'll just go with a standard midfield ---> Corey, Ablett (if playing) and Bartel, so the two midfields will go head to head.

Maybe reporting them with a gleeful smile.

Solomon will be having a nice little holiday courtesy of the MRP, apparently he fronted up at the coaches press conference after the game to apologise to Ling.

Even with the two injuries and the reduced bench the Cats were still outstanding yesterday. I think they are even better than last season. Their tackling in particular was ferocious but it was evident that they set up so many plays with their attacking defenders.

Injuries or not, it will be a big task to beat them on their home turf.

Solomon has been referred to the tribunal.

What a way to finish your career!

Hmmm, I think his contract with Freo is also up at the end of the season. Not looking good for him.

He'll be Essendon's runner next season
