4. Ray - one who actually looked as though he could break the game open. Needs to have the confidence to take the running shot more often - missed one early and was reluctant for the rest of the game.
3. Boyd - another workhorse game.
2. Harbrow - added some zip, defensive pressure and led up very well. Thought he was important.
1. Cross - as per Boyd, but needs to go back and take the shot when he marks 30 out.

2. Ray
1. Harbrow

4. Ray - I thought I was going to be the only one to give Ray votes. Just about the only player prepared to carry the ball.
3. Boyd - got it heaps
2. Gilbee - no-one else was in his class for ball usage
1. Cross - worked hard as always. Loved his with-the-flight marking attempt that was basically the perfect spoil.

Spot on. Been one of our best contributors the last 2 matches, great to see him running into some good form.

I'm also quite a fan of the one handed ball carry he has going on.

4. Gilbee- Didn't do a great job early on Austin W. but had great disposal and got better as the game went along.
3. Ray- Really good run and carry of the ball, but his disposal could have been better.
2. Boyd- High work rate as always.
1. Hudson- I thought he did well in the ruck and around the ground as well.

Yeah I like him too, I was just enquiring to the F J?

He sold some candy today which was a pleasure to watch.

Just borrowing the 'F' from DFA and lending it to Jarrod to plunk before his name. It works better if you say it with a full stop before you say Jarrod I reckon.

4 - Gilbee/Lake/Hargrave/Morris (Our collective defence was the best thing out there yesterday in the first three quarters. While the centre and forwards weren't really clicking all day these guys repelled ball after ball as Melbourne got up in the clearances)
3 - Harbrow (How Jarrod is not in most people's voting I don't know -- clearly the freshest player out there and willing to do all the one-percenters. Plenty of class as well.)
2 - Boyd (11 hard-ball gets and 33 possies is enough to be BOG most weeks.)
1 - Minnow (best he's looked at FF all year. Took two good grabs and a leading chest mark. Very reliable set-shot)

4. Boyd - only 4 quarter performer
3. Cross - threw his body at it time and again. Disappointed with his lack of confidence going back to kick for goal though.
2. Harbrow - pressure in the forward 50 was first class. Only guy who seemed to be moving in the forward 50
1. Hudson - doesn't get the stats but works his arse off and is crucial in the clearances.

Apologies to Ray but thought his disposal by foot undid a lot of his great running. Another who needs some confidence kicking at goal. Good by hand though.
Surprised by votes for Aker, thought his game today was pretty selfish. Didn't work hard at all defensively.

Hear, hear Lantern. If it wasn't for our defense working their butts off we would have been punished because our forwards looked ragged on a number of occasions with their indirect forward movements.

And as for Harbrow, he gets my votes even when he's not playing in the ones.
