AFL Rising Star nominee 1997

International Rules Series 1999, 2005

Match Committee Award 2004

He played his first game for Port Adelaide in 1997 against the Brisbane Lions, collapsing on field in 1999 he was diagnosed and treated for Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. After transferring to the Western Bulldogs in 2000, he got off to a slow start but was a key player for the Bulldogs in 2004 and 2005.

Known as "The Bald Eagle" for his clean-shaven head, in 2005 he was a very important player for the Western Bulldogs, his skill and run proving vital to the team's late-season charge. He kicked a career best 28 goals in 2005. He is recognised as having a long, raking left foot kick, regularly kicking goals from outside the 50m line. When he was growing up he was also a promising tennis player, playing for Happy Valley Tennis Club winning the "Most Promising Award".

He's married with two young children.

In sensational form this year, the Bald Eagle plays his 250th game this week against Hawthorn.

Credit where credit is due. Well done Nathan.

Happy to admit that he has proved me wrong a few times over the years. Like a few of his team mates, he seems to be running out games a bit stronger this year which as a 30 year old is testament to his work on the track and that of the conditioning dept.

Since his very poor game against the Eagles in Round 4 he has been very good and worthy of a spot on the list next year.

Does anyone know when this current contract expires?

Well done Nathan, nothing like seeing the Eagle flying in to 60m out and un leashinga goal straight through the middle, never in doubt when he is in that position.

Not too many blokes almost die on the field, then come back & continue to forge out a 250+ game career.
In an era of zoning players with a left foot like Nathan become more valueable.

Well done Eagle!

Eagle doing his own rendition of the "Eagle Rock"....

Well Done Eages, you champ, has showed alot of guts to get to where he has, the Brissy game in Brisbane in 2007 showed how tough he is, having his head split open and just getting on with it, VERY underated imo...

Lets see everyone doing the Eagle rock this week when he bags another goal!!!!

Eagleton is playing the best football of his career

He was also one of our best players in those dark days of 2003, 2004 and 2005

I think the guy realises that this season may be his last and is giving it everything he has got

Hope he has a great game on Saturday and dobs one from 60m out on the run
