Well done to O'Keefe. Given the circumstances of his season (i.e: walking out on the club last year, his poor start to the year), that is a fantastic result for him.
I love Ryan O'Keefe.
Adam Goodes for Brownlow # 3 though.

Agree. Havn't heard Glass' name mentioned by many this year, although I don't watch many Eagles games...even Lynch being in the top 4 is a surprise to me.

He is very stiff. Was far and away their best player, whilst I felt Glass had an average year at best.

Getting lots of touches of the footy is not the be all and end all. Votes are often given from an overall team perspectives. Eg how well you shut down your opponent.
you never know maybe Picken could win a B&F one day...

I'm a bit surprised that Brett Deledio won the B& F at Tigerland. I thought Daniel Jackson would have won it.

Pretty good season from both Jackson and Deledio. Deledio had an enormous finish to the year which must have snuck him over the line. Although I am surprised he has won 2 b&f's.
I suppose he is a good player in an ordinary outfit.

Anyone notice the Richmond B & F has Deledio at 1 and Tambling at 4?
Personally I think they should have given 4th place to Lance Franklin:cool:

Deledio winning 2 B&F's is an indictment on the current Richmond playing list. That's not a knock on his raw talent (which is significant), but if his last 2 seasons are B&F worthy at Punt Rd, they are in for an extended spell in the bottom 4. His season in 2009 would not have made most teams top 10 B&F.

I can't believe LeCras didn't take the place of Davis in the AA team, let alone the weagles B&F.

Can't see why not. Cross was a fringe plodder under Rhode. Boyd will win it this year and Picken is a mini-Boyd.

Wayne Campbell won 4 B & F's at Richmond. They must just hold a raffle.
Perhaps it's a coaches award like the U9's. Whoever turns up to training the most gets it.

Played all 22, averaged a shade under 20 disposals and about 7 tackles, so you are right in a sense, not huge, dominating numbers.
With Urquhart and Ziebell coming along too, they've got some quality coming through. And don't forget, Harvey and Wells both missed large chunks of the season.

David Rodan making the top 10 is a reasonable effort. He's a Richmond boy and would come home at the right price, and we need a hard 'outside' type player with okay disposal (who can play inside) -- any interest?

Urquhart and Ziebell are shining lights for North no question. Boomer is a very good player but is approaching the twilight of his career and Wells, will he ever be more than a highly skilled bit player for them?
Interesting story from after the St.Kilda B&F the other night. Not sure if it has been reported in any papers yet. But it happened.
At the St.Kilda after B&F funstion (players and staff) some of the Geelong players happened to be at the same bar. St.Kilda had their own room though and were in their having a few beers. Most of the Cats guys kept their distance (Ling, Stevie J and others), but Maxy Rooke was blind and made his way into the Saints room and was carrying on a bit. Of all people - Milney walked over to him - grabbed him by the shirt and said: "Cmon mate - this is our function, our night - don't come in here rubbing our phucking noses in it - phuck off". Maxy left without too much commotion - but it was a very awkward moment.

Milne is actually quite highly thought of at the Saints by his teammates. A few people who have met him say he's a good guy. Still shites most people on field though.

That is definitely true Mofra. Has a great reputation at the club. Is always picking up the mood of the group and is good with all the young blokes.
When I said 'of all blooke, Milney....' I more so meant that he is a small fella and went over to big Maxy Rooke. Wasn't a crack at Milne's character.

Freo must be pleased having 2 first year players in the top 10. Good signs for the future.
