How do you think Boyd will poll?

How do you think Boyd will poll?
Put money on him each way just in case, but he'll probably poll about 15 votes and be in that tier that sits below the top 5.
LostDoggy
21-09-2009, 02:12 PM
I think Gary Ablett deserves to win it, but Adam Goodes seems to poll very well. Just glad Scott West isn't still playing - was getting sick of sitting through the boring count, only to be extremely disappointed at round 20 - 22 when he'd get robbed. :(

My money's on Swan, but am hoping Boyd pulls off an upset. I really hope Goodes doesn't win. He came close last year even though he and Sydney didn't have the best years, and seems to get votes when he doesn't deserve them cos the umps seem to have a thing for him. Same thing happened last year with black getting so close despite Brisbane's average year. I think Ablett will be the unlucky one again for a third straight year.
LostDoggy
21-09-2009, 02:58 PM
I think Cooney will poll more than Boyd..
I still expect Cooney to poll 14-18 votes despite he's very slow start!
I guess it depends how the umpires rate Boydy, he polled well last year so who knows!

25 Votes - Ablett
23 - Judd
22 - Riewoldt, Goodes, Black, Swan

Ablett
Think Ablett will win, but Black and Hayes are 2 a bit further out in the market that will be in the finish I think.

Don't want Gablett or Goodes to win. Or Swan. Apart from that, I'm easy.
Dal Santo is my pick, strong start and always polls well.

21-09-2009, 03:52 PM
If Goodes wins I will be shattered, because I hate him.
If Cheat even comes near the top polling players, I will be even more shattered.
I'm gonna go with Black.

If you win one Brownlow you are a great player.
If you win it twice you are a champion.
If you win it three times you are a Brown nose.
Or something to that effect.
Ablett for me . ( only because the of the press he recieves.)

Am i the only one who finds it completely unprofessional and embarrassing the way there ia a pause whenever there is a chance one of the leaders will receive a vote, it is especially irritating how he reads out the first initial then pauses for an eternity, to build tension supposedly before giving the surname. This is something i have hated about the brownlow for a long time but Demitrispew is taking it to a new level

They should've given it to JB or Lenny.

WTF was that stupid question, was last year a kick in the guts not winning it?
God these idiots piss me off, that was almost as bad as the whole presentation fiasco when Grant was rubbed out, you dont bring up those kinds of things, Grant was never a chance to win it so you dont mention that he had most votes to the eventual winner, what are you hoping to achieve, let the guy enjoy it FFS, and then tonight Coons has just presented him with the medal and you infer that he didnt deserve it or that this years winner didnt think he deserved it, how the hell do these people get a job in the media i will never know.

Agree. The little master loves himself & can't stand blokes who have tickets on themselves. Reminds me of a joke i heard.
Gary Ablett goes to the doctors & complains that he gets sexually aroused when looking in the mirror. "I'm not surprised" said the doctor "you're a c#!*".

The fact he got 3votes in the Rd21 game is a joke. I mean, I'm not surprised...but there's no way he was the most influential player on the ground, and in no way deserving of the 3votes.

Amazing that he got 6 votes against us - in Round 9 he had as ineffective a 40 possession game as you can possibly get. And in Round 21, he wasn't in the best half-dozen players on the ground.
He is an awesome player though.

Yeah very funny of Coons
Listening to idiots ringing up SEN after their coverage..mainly whining about Dane Swan not getting many votes with one nuffy suggesting that Brownlow medalists are looked up to and they he didn't think Dane Swans 'look/attitude' would win him the award especially with his tatoos etc I think Finey shot him down quickly..so what if he's got a tat its not an excuse, he just didnt poll well, Collingwood supporters come up with some very insane thoughts

Certainly is.
I think we have shown all year that we don't rely on any of our 'stars' to perform to allow us to play well.
In saying that one would hope that next year we will see Griffen & Cooney move up that list.
