BARRY Hall's performance in 2010 will not be measured on goals kicked, according to Western Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade.

"He's going to be measured by the team involvement and I think the flexibility of our forward line will be a real plus. I think the big thing about Barry is that he's a very team-orientated player," Eade said

"I think as players get older, they learn new tricks. I remember coaching Plugger [Tony Lockett] … he learnt new ways to kick goals."

Ankle surgery has limited Hall's training, but he is adamant he can start running before Christmas. And he believes he is still capable of the game-breaking performances he produced with Sydney in previous seasons.

"The Bulldogs showcased several bulked-up pups at training yesterday including Callan Ward, Liam Picken, Ayce Cordy, Tom Williams and recruit Lukas Markovic."

I, personally, cannot wait until til the season starts. Callan Ward is a gun already.

Hopefully it doesn't have a negative affect on his mobility - no doubt it'll take some getting use to moving around with that added bulk.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Bazza fares, and hopefully some of the younger pups will come through. Would like to see where Andrejs is at, as well as Wood and Boumann.
