THE WESTERN Bulldogs will get their first glimpse of Barry Hall in full flight on Saturday when the burly forward lines up in an intra-club match at Whitten Oval.

Hall, 32, is expected to play at least a half of the game after overcoming post-season ankle problems.

"We've been doing a fair bit over the past few weeks and he's joined in with that but when you get the umpires in, it gets a little bit more fair dinkum," assistant coach Paul Williams told westernbulldogs.com.au on Thursday.

"It's going to be good to see how he moves out there."

Look out Mulls... you better pray you're on the same team.

I know it's still early days, but to me it seems there are quite a few injured... perhaps just precautionary keeping them out, as with Johnno.

Hopefully a few will be able to write up some reports. There will no doubt be some top up players and that always adds a bit to it as well.

I wonder who will back up Roughead and Hudson in the ruck? Maybe Cordy and Mulligan.

Given that Prato is injured, which is a real shame because would have loved to have heard how he went in a game situation, that seems logical.

Geez, there are going to be some good battles out there.
