Western Bulldog recruit Barry Hall kicked
two goals in an intra-club game yesterday.

Barry Hall kicked two goals, took a bunch of marks and earned the crowd's applause for dumping Lindsay Gilbee in the goal square. But just as the Western Bulldogs' star recruit needs more conditioning work before the season starts, explained coach Rodney Eade after yesterday morning's intra-club match, it may take Hall a few more months to completely understand and adapt to the way his new teammates move and use the football.

Matched mostly against young defender James Mulligan, Hall spent most of his morning deep in the forward line, marking and shooting an early handball to Brennan Stack for a goal, then breaking from Mulligan on a quick lead to mark and kick his first goal. After missing a couple of shots he kicked his second in the second half, snaffling a misdirected Gilbee pass and continuing what Eade said was an ongoing effort to learn how the Bulldogs play.

I thought it was a great hit out for all the guys. I was most impressed with Roughhead, Liam Jones and I thought Hilly put in a wonderful effort. All the young guys and new guys put in a great show for both Staff and spectators. Did the ump attempt to take Hall's Number, but seeing none were present thought it would be a bit hard to Identify him or Gia???.
Fantastic turn up and the cheersquad had to go on a few additional runs to obtain more snags & rolls.
Fantastic morning and fun by all who attended
:D

Couldn't believe it myself. Surely must have been written as a joke by the Sub Editor.

Obviously the headline writer has lead a sheltered life locked in his office.

Does the photo capture BBBBH laughing to see BHB about to give DFA an ear-flick?

Yep, I think that's exactly it...speaking of laughing, what a terrific reaction by Gilbee to BAZZA's big bad bump...

It looks like DFA's nose but he certainly is carrying Griffen's natural limp.
