Guys,

This year is my first year with reserved seating membership (bronze). At ES, I got my seat allocated. But where do I sit when we have an away game at the MCG? We asked the question at the Bulldogs shop but the staffs there weren't so sure either.

Thanks guys.

It's an away game so you'll either have to pay if you have an 11 game membership or if you have an 18 gamer you get GA.

Thanks G-Mo77. I got the 18 games membership. So with GA, I have to be there early to get L1 seat then. Where do the Bulldogs supporter normally sit? Ponsford Stand end or Olympic Stand end?

Seem to be all over the place, which is a shame, would be muych better if mainly in one area. I personally sit in the 2nd level of Ponsford stand.

Yep, I prefer the Ponsford Stand (City end) too as it's usually more Bulldog supporters than opposition. :)

You know what, I usually have a pretty good sense of direction, but when we walk into any entrance at the G that is not the members I'm immediately disoriented and have no idea which end is which (also true of me for most other round stadiums), so we normally just look for the bay on L1 with the most red, white and blue, and head straight for it.

It's not as fun sitting in the members for Dogs games -- its usually deserted!

We always sit Level 1 - Olympic Stand which is the Q49 - Q57 area mentioned above. Pretty much half forward line at the Punt Road end although does tend to fill up quickly.

I'm coming over for the game.

Do I need to pre-book tickets or can I get them at the gate?

Just wondering, i'll be walking to the game and buying my ticket there..
Tickets for reserved seating on the Ticketek website says $27 concession..
How much would a basic General Admission ticket be?

Not sure but I'd think less than $20. I'd just buy a ticket at the gate & sit in general admission. That way you can pick where you sit (to a certain extent). :)

Same here. With a couple of teenagers in tow and my lovely wife ( she reads this too) :) it can get expensive otherwise.

Just a word of advice for those new to the G. Make sure you enter the ground at the end you want to sit, as once you are in there is no access to the other end without leaving and getting a passout (unlike at Etihad, where you can walk around the whole ground on the concourse). This is due to the MCC members on the northeren side and the AFL members on the southern side.

Thanks for the advice. Really handy indeed.
