WESTERN Bulldogs devotees can be excused for thinking 'oh no, not again'.
Jarrad Grant has unfairly drawn parallels with Tim Walsh for circumstances other than football ability since landing at the Whitten Oval with pick 5 in the 2007 AFL national draft.
It is only natural for Bulldogs fans to expect a top-five draft pick to burst on to the scene and set the league alight with little development.
They were spoilt with the immediate impact of Adam Cooney and Farren Ray at the 2003 draft and Ryan Griffen in '04.

Another good article about Grant, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

He doesn't seem to be that kind of kid. From all I've read and seen it's like he's really turned a corner maturity wise.
Coming along nicely.

Wouldn't mind if the rest of him starts growing, though.
Modelling Murph is all well and good, and Murph IS a wonderful player, but some more meat on his bones would be nice too.

He will have a similar build to Murphy. You dont have to be physically big to be able to hold your ground in a marking contest or lay a tackle. Its important that he develops a strong body.

Michael Tuck had the same body as Grant and of course he played 426 games as a KPP. He was 188cm/76kg as opposed to Grants 192cm/80kg making Grant a gorilla.

Michael tuck never played a game as a KPP in his life.
Tuck was exclusively a ruck-rover

In the firsts. He came to Hawthorn as a full forward and played a number of reserve games in that position.
