North Melbourne premiership hero John Cassin has written to the club expressing his dismay at the club's niggling tactics on Saturday.

In an email to Kangaroos chief executive Eugene Arocca yesterday, Cassin described the attention paid to Bulldog Barry Hall as nothing short of "disgraceful and embarrassing".

"The coaching staff should be held responsible for allowing (Scott) Thompson and the other players involved to cowardly attack Hall in that fashion," Cassin wrote.

"He (Thompson) should have been dragged immediately. If the players put as much energy and attention into the game as they did against Hall we wouldn't get the thrashings that we appear to endure on a constant basis.

"I believe the club owes an apology to Barry Hall."

Could this be the start of a new "traditional rivalry"?

No Wayne Carey the umpires would never have let it get that far if it was you involved that to me was as disapointing as what the weak as urine Roos players did well done John Cassin on standing up for YOUR club and the great game of Aussie rules!!!

That's gold, even their ex-players are embarrassed by the way they played. David King summed things up perfectly.

Thompson was quoted in the herald sun that he didn't want to be remembered as a dirty player when his career ends.............Too Late!

One can't but hope that Mikey has read this, but then he writes... does he also read, learn and think.
