There are two awards that you can vote on, once the game is completed.

Voting closes each Tuesday at 8.00pm.

The first one is for the Joe Marmo Medal for the best players on the ground.

There are 4 votes allocated and it's a 4 for the best and of course 3, 2 and 1.

The second award is for the Ron James Medal for the best 2 pups on the ground.

2 Votes allocated - 2 being for the best pup and 1 for the runner-up
Remember the cut off age for a pup is 22 as at the 1st of January, 2010.

We never got back into the game, we just kicked some junk time goals.

If he hadn't dropped 3 or 4 'easy' marks we might have got a little closer.

We wouldn't have deserved to win the game no doubt, but with 10 minutes to go, we amazingly only needed 4 goals and hold them to win. We go two of them in the last 5 minutes.

Yeah, a lot of voters really seem to judge players up against their own standards. If any senior player had Grant's output they would be nowhere near the votes. Here are mine anyway.

Boyd a vote highlights just how under performing most of the others were. In the first half when it mattered most Boyd was as much the problem with his poor use of the ball and inability to negate the effectiveness of Pendlebury, Swan & co.. The vote is as much for his perseverance and effective last quarter but it doesn't sit comfortable that he was deemed one of our best. A great example of stats belying true effectiveness.

Mark Stevens had him in the best five Bulldogs, some supporters agree.

Mark most have missed the 1st 3 quarters or has chosen to forget they ever happened.

Grant had 5 touches in the first 3 quarters which by anyone's measure is bloody poor. Getting 6 touches in the last when the game was over doesn't warrant a mention in the bests in my opinion, but finding 5 to fit in the bests was probably a hard task.

I did like Grant's desire and competitiveness throughout the game though, but he wasn't effective until late.

Hard to find a 4 quarter performer. Boyd and Cross were terrific late but disappointing early.
Grant had a great last quarter, while Harbrow tried hard but had his colours lowered and his disposal was poor.

I am at a loss to understand votes for Minson. He has played better games and been subject of abuse from supporters. He managed 3 goals and that seems to be a tick, rather than the ruckwork where he was ok but has certainly been better.
