I was just looking through the clearance report in the league that I play in (MCDFL) and noticed a familiar name in the clearances, Libba. He has put in a clearance to play for Trentham.

I'm currently on the shelf with a knee injury and it's not looking to good. I'm going to a specialist on Tuesday to get it looked at further. The team I play for lines up against Trentham on the 14th August if I can get back in time and play really well I may have a chance to play against him. Either way if I don't get back in time or at all which is how it is looking I'll brave the conditions and go down for a peak.

Must admit, I didn't realise Libba was still playing? Perhaps I'm out of the loop? I thought he was coaching somewhere (not AFL)?

I heard that he was making a comeback with West Footscray.

I don't think Libba and West parted ways in the best fashion after his playing/coaching stint there.

Libba has just been playing and coaching the Super rules (over 35s I think) side out of the Ascot Vale area so far this year.

On the clearance report it says that he's coming from the Western Region Football League.

That would be from West Footscray.

An article in the back of today's Age sport sections states that he will not be playing and that he has recently become involved due to a friend taking over the coaching position at Trentham.
