Kangaroos have to be a massive chance this week against Freo who's injury list lengthens by the week. No Ballantyne & Sandilands. C'mon Kangas, do us a favour.

It's the roughie of the round as far as I'm concerned. North would have to improve a fair bit though.

North have a couple of handy in's in Wells and Grima, so hopefully they can get up - as much as I dislike North after this season.

No longer a roughie - Kangas have shot to outright favourites with the bookies. According to a rep from one of the betting agencies who was on the radio tonight, most of the "smart" money was with North before today, but once Sandilands was ruled out, it has been an avalanche!!!

Hopefully the North army will get em' over the line!Still think with that zone style might get cut to shreds.Just out of interest what crowd will they get?

You! Early in the season he was pumping up up his Blues for top 4. Now in true wallsy spirit he's basically said their pathetic and canned them!I suppose after tonight he'll be talking premierships:rolleyes:

Interesting note - I got an email from Mazda Australia during the week with the offer of 2 free tickets to the Kangas v Fremantle game on Saturday. I wonder how many Mazda owners received the same offer - they mustn't be expecting too many at the game (level 3 will not be opened for the game). It wouldn't surprise me if the paid attendance is less than 5000, with the freebies pushing the crowd to 10,000.
Carlton's big win tonight has made tomorrows game in Sydney very interesting, especially if Hawthorn lose - the "Joker" in the premiership race could be 8th and in danger of missing the finals.

IMHO North should go to Tassie permamently, there is no way they can build their supporter base in Melbourne, no way!

When he wrote the article they were top 4 and had beaten St.Kilda and Geelong so why shouldn't they have aimed for top 4?
Since then the wheels have fallen off and they are playing terrible.
Both articles were justified.

It would benefit their cause no end, in fact any team that relocates there would do very well with community and government backing.
How many very good footballers have come from Tassie over the years.

Fremantle look pretty ordinary at the moment. Rawlings 10 touches on Hill who's only touch of the ball was fumbled. Roos 38 Freo 6.

Great first quarter by Roos, hopefully they can sustain a 4qtr effort..or even get over the line by 1pt :D
Meanwhile in Sydney, Lewis Jetta just kicked his 18th straight behind for the season.

44-8 at 1/4 time.
The Dockers look like the Dockers of old, but thats to be expected with a few of their better players on the sidelines, Sandilands is a massive out.

He just kicked one, But it wasn't allowed due to being after the siren
With Freo losing, how important has tomorrow suddenly become? We have the chance to skip a game clear a week out from:
1/.Geelong
2/.A Freo home game
I have long held that winning - not losing - creates must win games as you move from aspirant to contender. If we are the latter, we win tomorrow.

A win tomorrow will make it very hard for us to miss a top four finish. Hopefully the boys are switched on and can do the job.

Today's results have pretty much ended any finals chances of all of the teams with 7 wins, and made it difficult for the Demons. It looks like it is between North Melbourne and Hawthorn for 8th, with Melbourne a long shot.
Remaining games....
Hawthorn (38 pts): Melbourne (MCG), Fremantle (Launceston), Collingwood (MCG)
North Melb (36 pts): St Kilda (Etihad), West Coast (Subiaco), Melbourne (MCG)
Melbourne (30 pts): Richmond (MCG), Hawthorn (MCG), Port (AAMI), North (MCG)
If Melbourne beat Richmond tomorrow, it makes next weeks Melbourne v Hawthorn game huge!

But as someone who is seen as an expert analyst, Walls should have had an idea what position the Blues were really at. I gotta go with Remi on this one, Walls jumps on any populist bandwagon and changes as soon as he feels like it. His comments lack the insight a guy with his experience should display IMO.

Shows you how far the Bulldogs have come.
Dogs V Freo at the unpopular time of 1pm Sunday draws 26,797.
NM V Freo at the popular time of 2pm Saturday draws 14,891.
To think that both clubs have a similar amount of members. We are drawing such a bigger crowd than North. I think that if our game was played at 2pm Saturday we would have got at least a couple more thousand.

I'm at the G. It is a great game. The pies pressure was relentless, but as all champions do, the cats fought back. Should be a great 2nd half.
PS-I remember why I hate Collingwood supporters so much. They are so one eyed and there are soooo many of them.

Probably the worst goal umpiring decision this year. Byrnes kicked a clear goal a metre before the line only for the goal umpire to say his foot was over the line.

My point is that anybody who had any idea would know that Carlton were never going to finish top 4. They rely holy and soly on Judd and the forwards have a combined kg count of about 120 kilos. The backline has more holes in it than a piece of Swiss cheese. Most of the big boys realize if you put them under any intense pressure they turn their toes up.
