Western Bulldogs midfielder Daniel Cross says a special water may have helped him avoid falling victim to the virus that swept through Whitten Oval this week.
Cross has been drinking Kangen Alkaline Water, which he says assists recovery and hydrates the body faster.
He roomed with severely ill Lindsay Gilbee in Adelaide last weekend, but has shown no effects.
As many as nine senior Bulldogs players contracted the virus, with midfielder Adam Cooney and ruckman Ben Hudson so ill they will sit out Saturday night's important clash against Geelong.
