Great news, never thought he'd go but it's nice to have the confirmation.

Realistically, why would Griff even think about such a retrograde move? They've got nothing that would get him interested & even less to interest us!

Agreed ... It was never going to happen. Griff said from the start he wanted to stay, he just had to make sure he was getting the best deal.

There is no suspense he is gone.
It was and has been a done deal for some time. the monday after your year finishes expect to see him unveiled.
The bulldogs in return will receive and end of first round draft pick valid for anytime in the next 5 drafts.

I've heard that ... then I've also heard he's staying. But yeah. My bet would be he's going. SADLY!

Very very happy Griff has re-signed (not 'resigned' as some smart alec at work put it! :D). I only wish Harbrow would stay, but like others, I am of the opinion he won't.

I can't remember if this is real, or a joke, but I'm pretty sure that ages ago Sandy Roberts/Ch 7 Sports person said that Nathan Buckley had resigned from Collingwood as they went to the ad break.
Read the teleprompter wrong, he'd re-signed.

I believe it was Tim Webster in the early days of Sports Tonight when it was purely a Sydney centric sports news show pretty much focussed on Rugby League and only begrudgingly (incorrectly) mentioning other sports. He also said it now left the door open for him to go to Port Adelaide. My all time favorite was when they said North's captain was Corey Mckernahan

Or the time he said if you don't wish to know the scores look away now, then proceeded to read them out!

I do wonder how he and a few others (looking at you Richard Wilkins)keep their job.

Wasn't their some talk of amending this to two first round picks ?

George Donekian on Sports Tonight once made reference to the 'Fitzroy Bulldogs'. No, it wasn't a story about the 3-day merger in 1989.
