WESTERN Bulldogs forward Jarrad Grant hopes he is now better known for his football rather than as the guy who was stung by a stingray.

Grant, the No.5 pick in the 2007 national draft, enjoyed a breakout season this year, with 29 goals in 20 games

But more than anything, he just wants people to forget the 2008 incident when he stepped on a stingray at a Port Melbourne beach.

I was never a fan of merlins, but he has shown me to be wrong about him. Good stuff spok, lets make it huge in 2011
