Yep. He certainly had balls!


As far as his ability he was a CHF who was as tough as nails. He wasnt exactly Wayne Carey but he was a handy player. The highlight of his onfield career was kicking a couple at the start of the last quarter of the '85 prelim to put us in front.

I wonder how good he might have been if he hadn't done his knee?

Was pretty skillful for a big bloke in that he could kick well with both feet. A little slow as a result of the knee injuries.

Hawk could get on the piss and play a blinder the next day but that sort of preperation didnt suit everyone.

I always remember him as being a trier but not particularly skillful
