Hawk is in the top 5 of Footscray players I most enjoyed watching, but I still reckon his brain got in th eway of him kicking goals. Give him a set shot and he wouldn't do his skills justice. His heart and skills were legendary but his life post playing and the persona he developed for the media were on par with Billy Brownless.

David Thorpe left us to play the following year in the tigers 1973 premiership team. Not sure if there was anyone prior. I will leave that to others to investigate as my 4.5 yo won't allow me to play much longer on the ipad

There are plenty of sources that attribute Jimmy as the youngster with Tangles, but it is the Mark II version from the 80's when Jimmy was about 6 or 7.
Plunkett has certainly never denied the association.

I was a Yarraville supporter and saw Kevin play 50+ games for them before he went to Footscray. I dont know what he did wong but it was good to see him reignite his partnership with Mark Fotheringham succesfully at Williamstown after his time wih the Bulldogs.
