Getting him to play for Willy suggests he is only match fitness away now, but it may take a few weeks before he is ready. I'll say no.

Just a a rumour but comes from a good source. (not tomato)
Apparently Griff's Shoulder is kaput and needs a reco which is a season ending injury so they are rolling the dice to see what impact it has and if he can play with/through it.

Not sure where ReLoad got his info, but it isn't true.
Griff has copped a few 'stingers' and will have scans to ensure there is no muscle damage, but it's thought all is well and he will be ok in a few days time.
Worse case is definitely not a reco which is only done when the shoulder joint keeps popping out which is not the case here.

Again to be clear it is just a rumour.
and im certainly not betting the farm on it or anything like that, but for those that did pay attention over the last few weeks, the padding and strapping on his shoulder looks a little more insidious than a mere "stinger" to me.
I will add a significant disclaimer that I have zero medical training, fail 9 times out of 10 to put on a band aid correctly, and wouldn't have the foggiest idea or training about shoulder injuries.
(has anyone seen him doing completive tackle/training work? has he been outside the group during these sessions etc?)
The only thing that has made me at least bring this up here, is that its a combination of things, and they dont make me feel comfortable that the situation is 100% peachy keen.
But as Mantis has spoken I'll defer to his font of club knowledge as opposed to a mere rumour.

It is the pre-season though and there isn't too much in it for the senior players other than to get some miles into the legs and touch the ball.

Structure wise, wouldn't Barlow be a decent option? Our current ruck set up is a liability at the moment. Huddo is declining quickly and Minson is being wasted as a quasi-stay at home forward. With Hall to return, this is amplified.
Minson should take 75% of the ruck contests, with Barlow to take the remainder and then go forward or back where required. This means Williams, Jones, Markovic etc can play their actual positions in stead of trying (and most likely failing) to pinch hit.
I'm excited about Dahlhaus and I know we need speed/defensive pressure in the forward line, but with a crappy ruck set up, he'll have nothing to chase down there any way.

I don't rate Barlow as highly as Hudson as a player but I think he will bring more to the team as a 2nd ruck.
I'm sticking to my story that we've mistaken Ed Barlow for Luke Vogels and that's the only reason he has ended up on our rookie list :D
I'm firmly in the 'promote Dahlhaus' camp.

Lake apparently was asked at HT if he wanted to have a needle in his hip and ankle but decided to play the game out , he would have been Subbed but BBB was Subbed as injured ( ankle ) instead
So I would think that Lake and Hall will miss next week , depending how he pulls up Lake may be on the bench for Williamstown
Ryan Griffen apparently got a bit of a stinger on the hip and also rolled his ankle , he could be right for next week
If anything else comes through the grapevine , I,ll post it up

He must hate playing against Hawthorn.... Plays his 1st game for the year against them in 2010 and stuffs his shoulders, this year same situation and he does a hammy. Poor bugger.
It seems that it's going to be very hard for him to get his career going which is a shame as he has some very good qualities.

Elevate Dalhaus and give Cordy a run whilst Roughy is out injured. I think elevating Barlow would be a waste. We have two potential young ruckman to develop both of who can go forward. Much more to gain by elevating a small quick.

Is the door shut for Hahn to get the call up? If we were sitting third I think he would get the nod, but in our perilous position perhaps development may win against experience?
If Hall is done, or close to done, I still think Hahn is worth considering (especially from the Willi reports where he has been back to the sort of form he was in before he hit a truck called Barry).

Will our injury list have an impact on our rookie elevations of Dahlhaus and Barlow?
ie i know we were allowed to elevate 1 rookie after round 12 or so without having to place anyone on the LTI list.
We also elevated another player at the same time for Hill's LTI i believe.

Unsure if this changes now with 24 vs 22 rounds but I suspect it doesn't. This means that we would have to move someone onto the LTI List no later than next Thursday.

"An injury update on Dale Morris, he has a fracture in both tibia and fibula bones in his right leg. Good news is he's likely to be up and running in 10-12 weeks. Both bones were able to be realigned under anesthetic and he won't require surgery."
All from bulldogs FB.
Given how bad the injury looked and i what i expected, this isn't a bad result at all and he could be training before the calendar year is out
Yep, relatively great news.

I guess it's good news. Still sucks to see Dale go down like that.

That is great news. I really love Morris. If we lost Ward to GWS and Dale for the 2012 season, my love of the game would have been sorely tested.

Glad it's not as bad as it could have been.
Dale's just about everything that is still good about footy. A guy who just gives it absolutely everything, every contest, every week. He shows no regard for his personal safety. He is a player who would do anything to win a game for us, and does exactly that just about every time. He's battled his way on to the list, and become one of the best, and most respected defenders in the AFL.
I'm confident he'll approach this injury in the same, professional manner he does everything.
All the best Dale, you are a bloody superstar.

What are the chances of Zephaniah getting another run before the end of the year? Absolute zero? (Anybody in the know?)
How has his form at Willy been?

What a mess with all those players out.
Freo are worse than us, they don't even have 22 players for this weekend and have asked the AFL if they can promote another two rookies to make up the numbers.

I saw Dale at training yesterday, he was in a wheelchair with a hip to ankle cast on. Looks a pretty miserable way to be for a few months.
