Let's not get bogged down with premiership windows and missed finals chances and levels of motivation at Whitten Oval.

The Bulldogs' chances of hoisting that long-awaited premiership cup this year come down to five fundamental questions.

Can Adam Cooney and Ryan Griffen become the killer one-two midfield punch the club is crying out for on a weekly basis?

Is Barry Hall capable of reprising last year's reputation-saving season, at least in impact if not in total goals scored?

Will Easton Wood's rapid upward graph climb quickly enough for him to replace Jarrod Harbrow as the money-in-the-bank defensive linebreaker?

Might Robert Murphy's fragile body finally allow him to fulfil his potential as one of the game's most talented players?

five fundamental questions[/B].

Premiership comes down to 3 factors in my opinion.

Health
Form
Luck

You can not win without all three.
2009 StKilda went through the season with a relatively unchanged line up and look at that season, a little more luck in the GF and they would have pinched it.

2010 Collingwood was easily the best team with form and health was good, however if the they didn't have the "luck" of the ball bouncing away from Milne then Saints would have won that first drawn GF.

Finally, add the kids who will have to force their way in: Mitch Wallis, Tom Liberatore, Liam Jones, Sam Reid, Ayce Cordy, Pat Vezpremi and Nathan Djerrkura. This list has too much quality not to win the 14 games that should have it hovering around the top four come September.

Glad to see Sam finally get a mention ;)

A fit Rob Murphy is a must this season, he is one of our most skilled players.

Back lines win you premierships, in my opinion.

The improvement in Williams will be vital for us this season, Harbrow leaving will be a blow, will be interesting to see how quickly Wood adapts.

I know Mikes' getting a little long in the tooth Remi, but if he's just jumping on the wagon he's about three stops (three years) too late :)

Yes I saw Samatha Lane has tipped us to win the final. The 'experts' are on to us.
