Boyd is a workhorse but he needs to know his limitations. I'm sure he'll look at his stats and be pretty happy with 45 possessions, but a heap of them were pure junk.
I'd prefer 15 touches from Sherman or Griffen than 30+ from Boyd or Cross.

I've been a big critic of Boyd's propensity to try and execute beyond his limitations, and he did spray some kicks tonight, but 24 contested possessions is a phenomenal effort and is exactly what we need from Boyd in terms of playing to his great strengths.

Thats fine, but Sherman was not best on the ground. All I am saying is he needs to get more of the ball.

His grunt work has always been sensational but he does hurt the team when he takes on the role of play maker so often. I guess guys like Cooney need to work harder to give him an option so he's not forced to play outside his limitations.

He has been absolutely torched by his direct opponents in key matches in recent seasons, but Pavlich was a complete non-factor last night.

After qtr time, Boyd certainly won the battle. I'm going to watch it again to look at the defensive set ups to see exactly how Boyd quelled Pav. If he and Cross have been given more defensive roles, that's a real positive for us moving forward.
