EXCITING Western Bulldogs forward Zephaniah Skinner is tipped to make his AFL debut against Sydney in Canberra on Saturday.

Exciting young Bulldog Zephaniah Skinner will make his debut against Sydney

Skinner is expected to join Bulldogs ruckman Ben Hudson and veteran all-rounder Daniel Giansiracusa in a strengthened Bulldogs, but champion forward Barry Hall is not back to play against his old club.

Skinner, 21, is similar in his stature and the manner he plays to Melbourne excitement machine Liam Jurrah.

The much travelled aboriginal livewire forward has been in exciting form in recent weeks with Bulldogs affiliate club Williamstown and offers the Dogs forward line brilliant tackling and harassment talents that are so crucial in current-day AFL tactics.

Skinner was the Bulldogs second last pick and 88 overall at last year's national draft after starting his trek to AFL ranks from Claremont in Western Australia and Nightcliff in the Northern Territory.

He is considered a handy small forward scoring option while the Bulldogs continue to operate without dangerous sharp-shooter Shaun Higgins who is still sidelined with ankle problem

This is really exiting if not somewhat of a shock i would have thought around round 15 but am really looking forward to watching him play.

I was thinking the same thing......I have a real feel about this season that a GF this year may be beyond us, but the match committee is almost taking a pause and saying lets give some younger guys a go and see how we go. I applaud this approach. We may not win the flag in 2011, but we will have blooded half a dozen to a dozen guys who will be the nucleus of our side over the next 5 to 10 years.
