Western warriors: Bob Murphy and Daniel Giansiracusa enjoy one of their thousands of moments together on the field.
Twelve years playing footy together leads to a Q&A with Daniel Giansiracusa.
Bob Murphy: Is this one of those weeks where you wish you'd done something else? Maybe a pizza chef?
Daniel Giansiracusa: Not really. Obviously it's devastating when you lose like that, but a loss like that, I just see Monday as an opportunity to right the wrongs. They're not enjoyable, but it's refreshing to know you can do something about it. That's how I've always looked at it. Even when we'd won three games for the year I always loved coming to training.

Well done Gia. Whatever your opinion is on him (and mine's wavered on a number of occasions) a mug player doesn't get to 200 games.

Congratulations to you Gia - let's hope the boys can pull a big one out of their back pockets and have a rousing win to celebrate the occasion. Must admit, I didn't realise he and Bob were such good mates - noice to see!:o

How weird is that B&W photo of those two from their early days?
Thanks for posting that CD, good read.

Good read! I hope the boys win for him on Sunday (and for themselves, the club, the supporters and the knockers). Congrats Gia, Well done.

Nice interview. I love "the poor mans Rohan Smith & Brad Johnson" part. :D
Hope we can turn it around on Sunday and have a big win for Gia's 200th. And Bob Murphy is due to play his 200th against Adelaide on Friday 17th June. YAY!! :)

Great article, they've seen a lot of change
Gia has done a lot of things well for a long time - sometimes coaches, supporters and the media focus on what players dont do, rather than what they do do.
Congrats to Gia

It looks like it was taken in the 40's
I enjoyed that article. It was pretty self indulgent but as a Dogs fan I just love reading all of that stuff.
Great work to Gia - 200 is a huge achievement. He has been a super player for us for a long time and with this milestone checked off will go down as one of the greats of the club and as a key member of the team during one of our most successful eras.

Bob Murphy somehow has one of those old-fashioned faces -- can totally imagine him peering out from a Depression-era photo.

Look at lil' Gia the little teen hearthrob.
He would've given Justin Beiber a run for his money.
WELL done Daniel
