A special one off jumper with the names of those who contributed to a special 'Bulldoze the Debt' fundraiser earlier this year:

I am in love with Dale Morris.......there I said it!!!

Now to tell my wife of 16 years. (actually I think she already knows.)

Seriously though, would he be all Australian this year?

He should be.
He hasn't been mentioned in any mock up sides I've seen or heard so far which is a shame as I believe he would more deserving than Boyd based on this season.

Agree, looks the real deal.
I live in hope that one day the Club will come to its senses and ditch that juvenile dog's head and bring back this classic. It stands as the one thing through David's tenure that leaves me shaking my head in bewilderment.

Morris is clearly our best small defender, he is clearly our best medium defender and he is clearly our best tall defender. Just love the guy. I love that jumper too (aside from the names but I totally get the reason).

The thing with this jumper is that i have never heard anyone say they don't like it, i know there are people that that prefer robodog but from my observations most still like the classic jumper, whereas i feel there is a fair bit of angst against robodog on the jumper.
I for one hope that a change is made sooner rather than later.

Yes it is, very pleased to see the people that put in the big bucks acknowledged. Would be nice if us rank and file who donated our hard earned.

If we reverted to the traditional jumper, our merchandise revenue would get an immediate shot in the arm from new jumper sales over the first 1-3 years...which will be important given membership and other revenue sources may flatline or decrease next year given our on-field performance this season to date.

The idea is ceratinly not without merit.

Traditional football jumpers always look the best. I don't hate the 'robodog' - but would be in favour of reverting to the more traditional jumper. And I'd buy one!

I like the design of the jumper but am not a big fan of all the names that appear, seems to be a bit of a fad at the moment.

Actually I prefer the ones we wore in 2004 with the bands being thicker:

Yeah the names is obviously a one off - and I'm also not a fan of that. But the design is simple and good.

I love this jumper but can never seem to find a good picture of it when I need to. This would be my choice as a permanent strip. It just looks really strong and brilliant.

I think we're all talking about the jumper without the names.
I really wish they'd go with this strip and never change it.
Only thing is the stripes should be higher, closer to the chest rather than the belly button.

Sorry, slightly off topic but most of the players looked quite stunned in this photo - it isn't the best I've seen. Even Johnno isn't smiling!! :D

I actually like the thinner stripes (though closer to the chest like previous jumpers) better than that 04 version, but only marginally. The 04 heritage top is also a winner, and I'd be very very happy if we adopted that one long term.

On a side note, what an odd looking starting 22 that day vs Melbourne. I remember we were being pantsed in the 1st quarter but Melbourne couldn't kick straight, and for a brief moment in the 2nd quarter, Pat Bowden put us in front.

We went on to lose pretty comfortably for memory. On paper, a pretty good team.

l find most adults like the traditional jumper but most kids like robo-dog.

l personally like the traditional but kids are the future supporters so they need to get a bigger say in what jumper we have.

Lets face it we are not going to change teams if we do not like the jumper but if some kids jump on board because they like the jumper that can't be bad.

This.

ATM at AusKick Dogs jumpers are only out numbered by Pies here in Ky and I believe it has a hell of a lot to do with it's appeal to kids.

I've set up a facebook community/group/whatever it is to support the cause. Unlike most Bulldog related fb groups I don't want it to be a place to criticise the club, rather a place to show support for the jumper.

Search 'Bulldogs to wear the '54 jumper full time' and click like.

Last night's strip should definitely be our permanent jumper. I love the traditional style uniforms in all sports. The modern styles with their caricatures have their place - training tops, preseason jumpers etc, but when the games mean something go with the classic style.

I was like you really like the current jumper, last nights has really grown on me also. I think I had a set against it because in recent years we always seem to lose in that style jumper. The monkey is off he back, we won one in the jumper.

We won against Richmond in 2005 wearing it. Remember Boydy's goal?

Love the traditional strip with the thinner stripes worn against Adelaide! I would buy one straight away if we adopted this as our jumper. The robotic dog has run it's race in my opinion. I urge everybody to lobby the club and see if we can make it happen. If I've seen correctly, we have a training jumper with the traditional design? Is this the start of a move towards adopting this design?

I loved the look of the jumper on Friday night. Even the Cats supporter commented favourably about it. I think the narrower stripes (than the 54 style) give it a more modern look but it's still instantly recognisable as the traditional jumper.

I've emailed Simon as well and will get on to Facebook when I get home - work frowns on Facebooking for some reason. ;)
