In this instance it's allowed. Given rookies normally only play part of the season they are included.

Barlow is eligible for pup votes, if you've given him votes in the main one, then you need to give him the appropriate votes in the pups votes as well.

3. Picken, good job, but god if you're tagging a guy giving away 6 free kicks doesn't help.

1. Cooney, because he looked like Adam Cooney, 23 possies and 3 goals.
I honestly could have stopped at Griffen. That performance doesn't deserve non-existent internet votes for anyone else.

Ablett has been the hottest midfielder in the league for the past month.
Picken played him as close as anyone could have and did a very solid job.
A few frees is a small price to pay for reducing his impact and limiting his room to move
4. Griffen
3. Gia

1. Picken
*Special mention to Matty Boyd who pretty much got the ball every single time in the last 10-12 minutes once the Suns drew a little closer. Just gets stacks of the footy every week - more than anyone in the AFL this year - and yet his leadership gets heavily criticised/questioned.

I'm not sure if I owe No 38 an apology but it seems he was the fellow who copped the racial abuse from Sherman. If so then I'd have to say he had a reasonable excuse for being off his game and I wish him all the best for the rest of his career.

Sorry, when did I mention Supercoach rankings? I can find plenty of reasons why Picken was below par on Saturday, it seems to be you who is looking purely at what Ablett did/didn't do as a basis for Picken's game.
Gia got more Supercoach points than Ablett and yet you couldn't find a vote for him?
Am I missing something? I didn't mention Supercoach rankings, and I was assessing Picken's game, not Ablett's. Gia played very well again and would have been next on my list.

By what measure are you suggesting he did a solid job? Having watched the game I know that Picken was beaten in most contests the two were involved in.

Sorry, when did I mention Supercoach rankings?
If you want to look at it statistically, 121 ranking points vs average of 125.
And
Am I missing something? I didn't mention Supercoach rankings, and I was assessing Picken's game, not Ablett's. Gia played very well again and would have been next on my list.
Ablett's slight (I say slight because really he amassed 121 ranking points in a year where he's averaged 125) decline in influence was not much to do with Picken.
If you're going to take a ridiculous position every week for the sake of being controversial, at least be consistent with it.
That's not to mention all of these references in the past couple of weeks.
Sorry but this is ridiculous, Daniel Cross remains one of our best and most consistent performers.
By Supercoach points (the best unbiased indicator available):
1. M Boyd: 116.1
2. R Griffen: 111.5
3. D Cross: 94.8
4. W Minson: 89.6
5. R Murphy: 87.9
6. B Hudson: 85.7
7. S Higgins: 81.1
8. T Liberatore: 80.7
9. C Ward: 80.6
10. D Giansiracusa: 80.3
This would suggest that Cross is behind only Boyd, Griffen, Murphy and Morris in a list of our best players.
So, you think our fifth best performer has no role to play?
Champion Data's ranking system represents a system with more thought and more effort put into it than perhaps has ever been put into a sporting ranking system, worldwide. It has been quite unfortunately brought into disrepute by its association with the game of Supercoach, but the system remains the finest unbiased ranking system available, this is undeniable.
The rankings measure the influence a player has on the game by their direct contact with the football. They are not perfect, but they are the closest thing to.
I would wager that Hudson and Gilbee have indeed done enough with their influence on the ball to be considered among our best 12 this season in this respect. What the rankings do not do is account for the amount of opportunity each player gets to directly influence the football. Hudson as the ruckman gets a lot of opportunity to influence the movements of the football. Scarlett would get relatively few. Thus, to compare the two, we must compare where they sit among similar players:
Ruckmen to have played over half the season to round 11:
1. D Cox: 126.9
2. A Sandilands: 121.3
3. T Goldstein: 109.9
4. S Mumford: 108.4
5. B Ottens: 106.7
6. M Jamar: 102.0
7. B McEvoy: 96.0
8. M Leuenberger: 90.1
9. Z Smith: 89.8
10. W Minson: 89.7
11. D Brogan: 86.8
12. S Jacobs: 86.6
13. B Hudson: 85.7
[Sample size = 24]
So Hudson sits in the bottom 50% of this group, behind the leading ruckman at 12 clubs (nearly 75%), including, most significantly, our own leading ruckman - Minson.
Now Scarlett:
1. T Chaplin: 92.5
2. H Grundy: 89.4
3. J Gibson: 87.3
4. D Merrett: 86.1
4. S Thompson: 86.1
6. M Scarlett: 85.9
[Sample size = 47]
Thus, Scarlett sits roughly in the top 13% of this defensive group.
You might have noticed that when I posted the ranking data, I included Murphy and Morris above Cross, despite them being below him on the list. This is because I realised that the position they play influences their ranking.
This is not really true, and is definitely an instance of Supercoach bringing these rankings into disrepute, the rankings state that Sam Fisher averages 110.5 points per game. However, St Kilda games so far this season would suggest that he has spent a large portion of time through the midfield, or as an attacking defender and cannot be compared to other defenders in the true sense of the position.

And
If you're going to take a ridiculous position every week for the sake of being controversial, at least be consistent with it.
That's not to mention all of these references in the past couple of weeks.
Every single one of your quotes was from other threads, so I stand by my question, where did I mention Supercoach rankings in this thread? The answer is nowhere. You don't like my stance Greystache, that's fine, but if the only means you have to counteract my argument is to dismiss most of what I've said and focus on the one aspect of my position which garners little respect around these parts, then you're fighting a losing battle.
You might see my position as ridiculous, but I assure you I don't take this position to be controversial.
'All of these references in the last couple of weeks'? Most of what you've quoted comes directly from one thread, directly debating Supercoach rankings, you don't think it's a given that they'll warrant a mention or two?
In regards to the topic at hand, most people seem to be judging Picken's good game by how many disposals Ablett got, if you think so lowly of Supercoach rankings Greystache then you must surely think disposals at least equally unimportant? From what I can gather from your posts Greystache you think the only means of gauging a player's performance is with your own eyes watching the game, in which case you ought to have noticed the Picken/Ablett battle and noticed that apart from ushering Ablett away from the contest on a few occasions, he allowed Ablett to win most contests around the ball, including giving away 6 free kicks.
Please stop being the Tony Abbott of these forums, and actually provide your own reasoning and opinion instead of solely criticising mine.
