Otherwise we can do Chemotherapy-it might save your life but it will be painful and you won't be the man you were before" Dad went with radiation therapy (he grew up on a farm and when an animal was in too much trouble they got the .22 and put a bullet in it's head He made me promise that option would be available to him too. He didn't want me to shoot him but he also didn't want me prolonging his life if he was suffering
Then the oncologist said "fantastic news. The radiation therapy has got rid of all the tumor, it's like a miracle" I looked at dad and he looked at me and said "Have you ever heard of anyone being cured of cancer with radiation therapy?" The problem was mum convinced herself (despite dad and me telling her that it was really unlikely he'd been cured.)
Dad was dead 18 months later and I'd like to have a talk with that oncologist about his bedside manner.

It's a pretty good squad, all playing at their peak!
Great team. I would have Griffen in midfield. Despite everyone hating him, he was a gun.

He shaped our premiership team.
Re: Following our ex's...................
Bumped into Tom Campbell this morning, he was about to start training with Ben Brown as I was finishing my morning session. Always had a soft spot for BTC, said g'day and had a brief chat.

I would often see him at Sims grabbing a coffee at 7am (I'd be grabbing bread for school lunches) just down from the footy ground. If he was turning up for training at 7am the it's no wonder clubs want him on their list.

For a moment I thought hang on Sims sports don’t sell coffee, let alone open at 7am!

Is Sims sports still in Puckle st in Moonee Ponds? I hate Puckle street. Essendon have held far too many premiership parades down it for my liking

Yeah it is. On the plus side Essendon haven’t had a finals win for a while let alone a premiership parade.

Far too much smugness for mine
They’d have a parade if they won a final nowadays

4 September 2004.
I take some joy in remembering that date.

the person I truly feel the most for with the season perhaps cancelled and all, is Jake Stringer..........I mean, he was borderline flying.

He would get fined if he did fly, lucky it was only borderline.
