Zaine was utterly blessed to be at a club with paper thin key defensive cover for the entirety of his career. If he was at just about any other club, he wouldn’t have lasted nearly as long. The fact that St Kilda coughed up a 3 year deal is absolute comedy.

Stringer in a brawl with team mate at training today

FIERY FRIDAYAs competitive beasts, Jake Stringer and Mason Redman only know one way.
There is not often much slack given to teammates during training and tensions boiled over between the pair during some partial match simulation on Friday.

The two had to be separated by teammates after getting in a little bit of push and shove following a contest.
A few choice words were exchanged before the pair split and moved on.

Probably not a bad sign really - you want them to be training hard.

I don't mind seeing it as a show of strength but it doesn't need to linger on.

Between two players is a bit of competition, but the photo posted by GG is not a good look.

To me the optics are a bit irrelevant because it's just push and shove and it's not like Setanta OhAilpĂ*n kicking Cameron Cloke (I think it was Cam) when he was on the ground. I expect them to shake hands and get on with it.

Same G. I reckon if you're going to have match sim, the guys that are going each other are actually taking it seriously. Unless it was chirping for no good reason I'm ok with it.

"By the way Stringer hit Redman in the face. I am sure thats what i saw. It was quite serious. Redman was roughing him up playing from behind as a defender… and giving him some elbows to the back… Jakey then whacked him. Funny enough the play was still going on. Redman then went back at him as ball was coming in again and bumped him hard from behind and they then wrestled each other to the ground. Players broke them up. They separated and the drill was then over. It was physical at times today with tackling and pressure. Better they are ramping up this time of year than down like last year"

If true, then it did go too far
