Not quite as many delistings but GWS from the same year looks pretty bad.
Trades:
O'Rourke (former pick 2) and pick 43 (Mitch McGovern) for 19 and 40.
Patfull (played two years) for pick 21 (Hugh Goddard).
Jaksch, Whiley and Pick 19 (Boekhurst) for pick 7 (This one isn't too bad really)
Tom Boyd (former pick 1) for Ryan Griffen (3 years?) and Pick 6
Jon Giles and pick 62 (Harris Andrews) for pick 53.
Sam Frost, pick 40 (Alex Neal-Bullen) and pick 53 (Oscar McDonald) for pick 23.
Drafted:
4: Jarrod Pickett (Traded with Marchbank and 2017 2nd round pick for Geelong 2017 1st round pick and picks 45 and 58)
6. Caleb Marchbank (See above)
7. Paul Ahearn, (Traded for pick 69)
23. Pat McKenna (Traded to Melbourne with 51 and 69 for 57 and 59)
24. Jack Steele (Traded for StKilda 2017 2nd round pick)
85. Jeremy Finlayson (no games as of yet)
No rookies, free agents or PSD picks.
From that 2014 trading and drafting period:
Effectively they lost O'Rourke, Jaksch, Whiley, Boyd, Giles, Frost and draftees 4.Pickett, 6.Marchbank, 7.Ahearn, 23.McKenna, 24.Steele and picks 19 (Boekhurst), 21 (Goddard), 40 (Neal-Bullen), 43. (McGovern), 53 (McDonald) 63. (Andrews) from 2014, pick 51 from 2016 and their second round pick in 2017.
They gained Patfull for 2 years, Griffen for 3-4, 2016 picks 45, 57, 58 and 59 and 2017 Geelong 1st rounder and St.Kilda 2nd rounder, and a gameless Jeremy Finlayson.
Broken down to pure picks thats losing picks 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 12, 19, 21, 23, 24, 2017secondrounder, 40, 43, 51, 53, 63, Whiley, Giles and Frost
In return for Patfull, Griffen, Geelong2017firstrounder, St.Kilda2017firstrounder, 45, 57, 58, 59, Finlayson
Ouch.
Also as an aside the McKenna trade meant that Melbourne received Sam Frost, Oscar McDonald, Alex Neal-Bullen, Pat McKenna, 2016 picks 51 and 69 in return for picks 57 and 59 this year which will be used as academy points.
(Great post) And yet they still have enough kids and picks this year to be premiership favourites, in spite of all that...
Just imagine if we were gifted all those picks.
How much closer to winning a Premiership would we be?
Oopps,Aahh,Hang on,wait a minute.................;)
It's not fair for poor GWS. They were gifted everything and we made them look like gooses.
GWS were probably us last year, first finals experience then the next year it all comes together , I hope not but that's how it usually works.
God I hope we have the wood on them like Geelong do on us.

AFL Brownlow medallist Adam Cooney trains with WRFL club Spotswood
IT WAS a sight to warm the hearts of Spotswood supporters.
Speculation has been rife during the off-season that Brownlow medallist Adam Cooney would join the Western Region Football League Division 1 outfit following his AFL retirement.
The 30-year-old, who played 250 games for the Western Bulldogs and Essendon during a decorated 13-year career at the top level, made an unexpected appearance at the opening night of the Woodsmen’s pre-season campaign on Monday.
But Spotswood coach Anthony Eames said Cooney was yet to put pen to paper.
“Adam’s still got some work commitments to sort out, so that’s fine,” Eames said.
“We haven’t pressure him at all and he’ll make up his mind as to what he does.
“It was great that he turned up. I actually didn’t expect him to be there, but he knew we were training.
“It was good for the young kids to experience being around a player of that calibre.”
The Woodsmen, who contested eight consecutive grand finals between 2007 and 2014 for four premierships, finished in fifth spot this year and was eliminated in the opening week of finals.
Cooney’s son Jaxon plays juniors for Spotswood, his children attend school in the area and the family lives locally.
“Across the board, I think it’s a fantastic fit for the WRFL,” Eames said.
“Hopefully Adam can play and hopefully we’re the club he chooses to play with.
“What a guy like that can provide for our young group, along with a Tom Langlands and Murray Boyd for example, is invaluable.”
The Woodsmen have signed gun midfielder Wayne Patak, who has returned to the club after a stint with EDFL powerhouse Aberfeldie.
“It just gives us strength around the footy that the other guys can really learn from,” Eames said of the premiership player.
“He’s a terrific fella, a responsible young man, so I look forward to working with him.”
I could see the coon dog parking himself in the forward pocket and kicking a lot of goals.
But do their training facilities have a soft and spongey surface?
I thought he was done and dusted with the knee.
I see Collingwood is looking at big Wil
