Oh, the draft tampering!
Nothing to see here, just ask Gill.

Scully traded to Hawthorn for a future 4th round pick.
That's ridiculous, unless Scully's ankle is soared off.

This is why the trade period has become a joke. It's too heavily weighted to rewarding the bigger clubs
How does a player like Duryea fit into a trade now because it's being touted that it's a future 4th round pick?
It looks like he is a Bulldog now

A future 10th rounder if Scully is a 4th.

Both are 4th round picks.

Which was the pick they got from the Gold Coast in the Scrimshaw deal. So they got Scully AND Scrimshaw for their future 3rd round pick (likely a pick in the 40s or 50s)! It's a joke.
Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
This is totally insane
I know J McCartney is a little generous sometimes, but this is beyond charity .
He must have pretty ordinary ankles

They shouldn't be is the point. If they were in the school yard, and your captain of your team who do you pick? Scully, easily.
Ergo, Duryea is easily less than a fourth rounder.
If Hawthorn pick up players of pick 1, pick 5 & pick 7 for one good pick and a bag of chicken Twistees then what the *!*!*!*! is going on with the trade period, them and the club's dealing with them, and players only nominating them?
Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
It's a salary dump and he chose Hawks. GWS were over a huge barrel.
Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
Just heard on Twitter that it’s actually Phil Scully
Maybe Sandra Scully
Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
So Duryea is officially a bulldog. Going to be hard to get on board with this one.
Have absolutely despised him, since he snivelled into the Hawks half back line and buried Jimmy Bartel's head into the ground after concussing him in a tackle from behind. Never liked him. Never liked the way he played, thought it was the peak of injustice he got 2 premiership medals....even disliked his nickname...
Welcome aboard 'Doc'.

There needs to be a tax on both clubs when this occurs.

This makes me seethe and it doesn’t help that one of my bosses at work is a hawks man getting into my face about wingard choosing them over dogs..can’t wait to see him tomorrow

Oh I agree. It's outrageous that they got him for virtually nothing. It is GWS getting the raw end so I find it hard not to do the Nelson Muntz "Haw Haw"
