Everitt was a rarity at Carlton. About the only player who actually performed better for Mick.

Won their goalkicking in 2015, 4th in 2016.
Carlton continue their strategy of "cut anyone who can kick goals".
I don't think it's working.

They just delisted Viojo-Rainbow, Clem Smith & Jayden Foster. That's 3/4 of their National draft from 2 years ago. Not high picks but that's still appalling.

And they took a massive trade downgrade (7>19) for Jacksch who could get cut next year (Duggan, Wright, Cockatoo, Lever available) with Whiley who was delisted also. All the rookies selected in the rookie draft have been cut inside 2 years too. Tutt drafted in the PSD, cut too. Brought in Jones on $1,000,000 on three years and let Waite walk for no compensation. Brought in Dick as a DFA who got cut too.
Could be the worst ever trade/draft period by a club in the history of the entire competition.

The full trade was pick 7 for Jaksch (1 game in 2016), Mark Whiley (1 game) and pick 19 (Blaine Boekhorst, 7 games, ave. 13 disposals). As you said, players available between pick 7 (Paul Ahern) and pick 19 included Wright, Cockatoo, Lever and Lachie Weller.
Yet the most irresponsible trade of that period was apparently the Tom Boyd trade...

Yep. I looked into their rookie draft and updated my post, their entire list management (trades, free agency, ND, PSD & RD) are almost all gone. Only Jaksch & Jones have survived owing to their contracts. I'm saying it, this is the worst ever. By a Winx like margin.

You could be right - lets look at the whole thing:
Free Agents
Waite out to North for no compensation - lets let a proven goal kicker walk.
Dick in from Sydney - delisted.
Trades
Garlett and 83 out to Melbourne for 61 and 79 - lets let another proven goal kicker walk.
Pick 7 out to GWS for Whiley, Jaksch and 19 - Whiley delisted, Jaksch struggling.
Pick 46 (Caleb Daniel) out to Bulldogs from Liam Jones - Lol.
National Draft
19 Boekhorst - has been disappointing, widely considered a reach at pick 19.
28 Viojo- Rainbow - delisted.
60 Smith - delisted.
63 Foster - delisted.
Pre-Season Draft
2 Tutt - delisted.
Rookie Draft
6 Gowers - delisted.
24 Walsh - delisted.
41 Fields - delisted.
58 Russell - delisted.
What an hilarious disaster.

Re: Following our ex's...................
Only thing worse is that they'd love to axe Jones & Jaksch but they have contracts for next year on maybe $600,000 or so combined!
And KJ, LJ & Boekhorst played 16 games combined this year, for an average at about 10 disposals...

Was SOS in charge of that debacle?
If not, thank god he can't draft either, stuffing up pick 7 by choosing the admittedly injury plagued Ahern, when he could have had a genuine star like Wright or Lever.

Silvagni came in immediately following this and set about recruiting most of the players he had already recruited at GWS.
