Re: MRP Thread 2018
Cameron straight to the tribunal as expected. Michael Christian has graded it as intentional conduct with severe impact to the head.
For context, that was the same grading given to Barry Hall's punch on Brent Staker.

5 weeks for Cameron, the tribunal finding his contact intentional, not just careless.

Only 5 weeks - very, very lucky.

Re: MRP Thread 2018
Isn't five weeks roughly what Redpath ended up with for pushing Phil Davis over last year? The two incidents were virtually similiar so it's fair enough I suppose. I think Davis is still on life support.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

That is a disgrace.
Compare the penalty handed down to Redpath for Davis falling down.
Cameron should have a minimum of 8 weeks. Harris Andrews has his entire career at risk because of the DELIBERATE and unnecessary action of Jeremy Cameron.

If it was Redpath it would have been 8 or more weeks. Toby Green now has a rival as my most hated player.

Re: MRP Thread 2018
Piss weak. 7-8 weeks was the minimum if integrity of the game and tribunal system was to be upheld.

If I'm the Giants, I'm feeling quietly blessed tonight. Hard to fathom how five weeks seems lenient, but it does.
Hopefully it's the final nail in the entitled pricks' season.

Re: MRP Thread 2018
Cameron broke Johanissen's collar bone a few years back with a violent impact with his hip at speed with JJ's head over the ball. JJ took a long time to recover his attack in a contest. Cameron knew what he was doing just as Green did when he put his stops in Dahlhaus' face. Both are highly talented individuals who amaze us with their skills and use these skills to assault other players. There is no place for such acts and the AFL need to give stronger sentences for such intentional acts which are assaults. One day an act like Cameron's will be taken to court like L. Matthew's punch was.
A similar act ended my footy in the VAFA.

I think 5 weeks is about right, 6 would have been a better result though.

Thought an intentional grading would have taken it to 8 weeks with his record
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

* Nick Vlastuin's can accept a one-match ban for an errant elbow to Luke Parker's face,
* Lance Franklin is free to play next week - $1500 sanction with an early plea for his open-hand hit to Alex Rance's throat that left the Tiger dry retching.
