Re: North Melbourne
I know it's a terrible thing for North and Clarkson to be going through and Ratten is a logical choice to step in and hopefully steady the ship but I also feel for the playing group who are experiencing another coaching change in what has been a real merry-go-round for them in recent years.
Recruiting and retaining players is going to be hard for them unless the splash the cash around.

Tassie Roos?
I haven't like them since the Hall/Thompson match so good riddance!

Is there any players worth recruiting from there ?
They surely want to see some success.

Wardlaw and Sheezel would be good gets for any club but they'll have to play overs to keep their better prospects I'd imagine unless Ratten can unite them. I could imagine some players would want to go to the club to play under Clarkson and if that is now not an option they're going to stay down for a while.

Re: North Melbourne
I don't like Zurhaar but think he would be a good player in a good side.
I hope Clarkson gets better soon. Very unfortunate for north.

They have a few players that could slot in to our side.

My lord…
Just take them down the paddock and and put that club out of its misery.

Is the paddock Tasmania? Or is that cruel to the locals?

Probably the best case is Tassie, but that cursed club needs to go. Conversely, with them around that shit doesn’t happen to us…

I'm so torn between schadenfreude and genuinely feeling pity for them

I feel a bit bad saying this. It's been us before. But without an obvious 20th team and accounting for the talent strain already there is a non-0% chance of something like that.

Like Fitzroy before them, would they be missed after a while? Probably not.
Would everyone else understand and move on. Yep.
Would they get concessions like the Lions to guarantee flags. Yep.
So be it.
