Barrett still pushing this one :
IF ...
the Cats are notorious last-minute deal makers in trade periods, hello Gary Ablett and Jez Cameron ...
THEN ...
expect another one this year. It might be Bailey Smith, despite him being contracted to the Dogs

Despite his manager , the club and he himself saying he is staying.
Seems these journos are thick headed.
You could show Barrett a body with 100 bullets in it and a death certificate and he would still say he could recover.
Bring back the biff

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
Surely I’m not the only one thinking Smith will request a trade this trade period?
More of an In Bruges guy?

I don't think he'll request a trade.
I think Geelong will ask about him, his manager will talk up the possibility and the whole thing will build momentum without any input from Bailey...who will continue to stoically tell everyone he is happy at the Dogs, with Bevo and his contract...
Then he will agree to terms and move to Geelong.
That's what I think.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Yeah I'm keeping an open mind.
Spending his time at Cotton On, just launched a beverage label with production down that way.
There's some serious signs that his next step in life is on the Ballarine.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Ultimately we can't have a repeat of the Dunkley situation. If he's not re-signing he needs to go this trade period. We can't again hope he'll re-sign.

Yep, we need to try and leverage something whilst still in contract.
This is the only way to play this game now with the deck stacked in the players favour.
Do you think Dunkley gave a toss about the Dogs when his manager was dealing with the Lions throughout 2022.
Nope. Just brand Dunks.

That's what I think.
Imagine all the coastal lifestyle photo shoots in his cotton on budgie smugglers.
I too think he will request a trade.

As long as we get pick 7 and their F1, I don’t care if he goes.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Be a fair indictment on something or someone if we lose our future midfield over the course of two seasons.
I'm with you in isolation, stacking it with Dunkley it feels like something ain't right.
