The game was an exhibition match between the premiers of each competition and we beat Essendon.
I don't know how much bearing the victory had in us joining the VFL the following year because Hawthorn and North were also admitted that year.
They need to count vfa premierships in the grand total.

Yeah, Port would want their SANFL ones counted. Really I think any VFL ones should just be VFL premierships and not lumped in with the AFL ones.

How will all the Big Clubs claim their supremacy then?

Also. We play Sydney in the late arvo slot on a Sunday. Travel back late Sunday night. Then have to back up and play Melbourne on a Friday night. That sounds harsh. (Demons play at home on the Saturday night).

Re: AFL 2024 fixture news
Not the most commercially friendly fixture with only a couple of night games, but decent times for families. I guess we can only blame ourselves for that.
The 7:15pm Friday night timeslot is problematic to make on time for myself and others that have to travel some distance to get there after work. There is a Perth game at 8:30pm which explains the earlier start time.

You're kidding. They give us 1 Friday night game and it's on a 5 day break coming back from interstate? We always get screwed on Melbourne and Geelong fixtures.

Re: AFL 2024 fixture news
Final round is GWS in Ballarat, which won’t be confirmed until a week or so out. Any idea when I can book seats for the game?
